Angel's POV
"So what did your dad say?" My cousin Taty asked
"What do you think he said?" I scoffed
"Aren't you grounded?" My cousin Ciani asked
"Obviously" I said plainly
"Tell uncle Jayson that you wanna spend the night over here and just leave out with us" Taty said
"That's not gonna work, uncle Jaylen knows I'm on punishment so he's not gonna let me leave" I replied
"Dude you're 18, just tell them you're coming with us" Taty huffed
"Aunt Grace might play with yall like that but my dad would kill me, bring me back to life, and then kill me again" I said as I shook my head
"I know exactly who could help us" Cici smirked
"Who?" I asked as I bright my face closer to the phone
"Wassup uglies" I heard my brother's voice say as the FaceTime connected
"Jayson we need help" Cici said
"What the hell yall do now?!" He asked sounding just like dad
I smiled at the sound of his voice
I missed him so much
I instantly thought back to when we were kids and I'd sneak into his room and steal stuff
We've always been super close; I actually slept in his room until I was 9.
He was 16 by then and you know how older brothers get.
When he turned 20 he took over our father's company called Small Wins and moved to Los Angeles
He's also the son a basketball Legend so you can imagine all the opportunities and offers he gets to promote things.
The only time I really saw him in person anymore was during holidays or birthdays which really sucked
I was beyond proud of him though and even though there was physical distance between us nothings ever really changed
"Deuceyyyyy I'm grounded" I pouted
"What did you do?" He chuckled
"I asked dad to borrow the car and he said No so-"
"You asked mom and she said yes?" He questioned as his curly hair fell into the camera
"That's exactly what she did" Taty said
"So what exactly are you grounded for? Don't sound like you did shit wrong to me" he laughed
It was clear that he was playing some sort of video game
"Dad said I undermined his authority so I'm on punishment for 2 weeks" I pouted
"BAEEEEEEEE!" I heard my brother's girlfriend yell in the background
"Living room!" He called out
"Tell Mya we said heyyyy" Cici said
"The girls said hey" Deuce said plainly
