Grace's POV
"So what is this?!" King yelled as he held up the ultrasound photos
"None of your business" I shrugged as I continued to watch TV
I closed on the house yesterday afternoon and planned to be moved in by next week so I couldn't care less about his anger
"Whose baby is it?" He asked as he stood in front of the TV
"Mine obviously" I said plainly as I moved over so I could see the TV
"You think this shit is a fucking game?!" He semi yelled as he unplugged the TV
I just groaned and got up
"When were you gonna tell me?" He asked as he blocked the stairs
"I made MY big announcement during the family gathering at Cleo's that you didn't attended because of your studio session" I said plainly but put the emphasis on studio session
"What kind of game are you playing at?" He chuckled
"I'm not playing any game at all" I said plainly
"Who you been fucking?" He asked as he cornered me into a wall
Normally I would've gotten violent by now but for once I couldn't
"Who would I be cheating with?"
"I don't know but you've been getting real close to Jaylen" he scoffed
"Sure, it's Jaylen's baby" I said as I rolled my eyes
I watched completely unfazed as he punched the wall next to me
"Get out" he said lowly
"Excuse me?"
"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!" He yelled as he push me to the floor
I looked over at the metal door rod, picked it up, and hit him in the back of his leg which caused him to fall
I got up and continued to beat him with it but was careful not to hit his face
"Grace stop!" He yelled
"You wanna put you hand on people?! Me too bitch!" I yelled as I kept hitting him
He tried grabbing the rod from me but I yanked it back and continued to hit him
"Grace!" He yelled
I kept going until the rod bent
"Play with me again Christian!" I yelled as I gripped him up by his shirt
He just laid there and cried out in pain
"You make me sick" I said as I huffed and helped him to the car
All he did was cry in the backseat like a bitch
Once I made it to the emergency room I parked the car
"If you say anything to these people you gonna need more than a doctor" I said lowly as I helped him out the car and into the ER
a nurse instantly spotted us and ran over with a wheelchair
Time to put my theater kid skills to the test
"Thank you!" I whined as if I was concerned
"What happened?!" The nurse asked
"He got jumped by some guys on the basketball court after they tried to bother me..he was sticking up for me" I lied
King was in so much pain, all he could do was groan
The nurse instantly took him us back and gave me the paperwork to fill out while she asked him questions
Once again he was in so much pain that he couldn't even think of words
I filled out the paperwork and handed it to her
I helped him into the hospital gown and waited for the doctor
The doctor came and asked him what happened but once again he couldn't speak so I did
The doctor asked about his medical history and I told him everything I knew
The doctor decided to take him in for X-rays.
Turns out he's got 2 fractured ribs but they went completely fractured so there was nothing the doctor could do besides prescribe him some pain killers.
He was told that he'd need to be admitted so they could monitor him
"He can't stay; he's got studio time and that means a lot to him" I said as I rubbed his face
The doctor let us know that he'd be out of the studio for a while until his ribs healed
They moved us to a different room with a TV, a phone, and a couch for visitors to sit
He was then hooked up to an IV with a medicine drip so the pain would subside
We sat in silence for the next 2 hours
Once the medicine kicked in he was finally able to speak and breathe peacefully
"Bitch" he groaned
"Huh? You said you want me to call your mommy?" I asked as I looked up from my phone
He just stared at me
"Fuck you" he said as the doctor walked in
"Sorry about him, he's in pain and cranky" I apologized to the doctor
"She's the reason I'm in fucking pain" he groaned
"The things we do to protect our women and children" the doctor said as he checked the chart that was in his hand
"You win some; you lose some. Either way I appreciate you baby" I smiled
The doctor smiled too before explaining that the fractures should heal themselves within 6 weeks but for the first week they want him in the hospital to make sure they don't fracture more and poke his other organs
King just nodded and the doctor went on his way
"Don't worry you won't be here all alone this week"
"I don't want you here" king groaned
"I know baby, I know" I pouted as I typed on my phone
Little did he know; I was texting Raven letting her know that her man was in the hospital
She responded back super fast.
I gave her all the info she needed in order to come be by her man's side
When she asked me what happened I told her the same lie I told the doctors
She said she was on the way and I let her know that I was gonna head home
"Your girlfriend is on her way" I nodded
I watched as king sighed
"Grace" he said softly
"Save it." I smiled before leaving out of the hospital room
I informed the nurse at the front desk that his girlfriend was on her way to be by his side
Of course the nurse was confused so I had to explain to her that I was just the mother of his child and that we weren't together
The nurse nodded her head and asked for the girlfriend's name
I gave her the name and headed home to pack my things
I knew what I deserved and it's not this
