CHAPTER FOUR: THE WAITING GAME
It's been roughly four weeks since Johnnie and Jake visited Isobel at the studio. They were aware that the process of making clothes was tough, even tougher considering the fact she had no production company backing her up like the two guys did whenever they wanted to drop new merchandise, but they were surprised that Isobel hadn't reached out to them about any news herself. Atleast Johnnie was.
The blue eyed boy would contact her from time to time, reaching out to hear about her process and he did get sweet responses, but it was clear that the girl was busy with her work. That's also the reason she had to decline whenever the guy asked her if she wanted to get drinks or food. Johnnie wasn't mad about it, getting that she wanted to spend all her energy and focus on the project. He admired that. Despite that, the boy didn't tell Jake about the messages, not wanting him to make fun of him for it, because it was difficult for Johnnie to find people he truly liked and Isobel just seemed so pure.
The two guys were currently out for lunch with their good friend Tara when the thought of Isobel crossed Johnnie's mind again.
"Dude, what if she watched our videos and realized how weird we are", the boy blurted out and grabbed the attention of both Tara and Jake, who were up until then, discussing what salad dressing they preferred.
"Who the fuck are you talking about?", Jake replied as he turned to the boy dressed in black. He was used to Johnnie voicing his thoughts no matter how weird they were, but this time he was a little lost.
"Isobel", Johnnie replied nonchalantly, missing how Tara raised a brow at the name. Jake leaned back in his chair, shooting him a look, before a smirk appeared on his face.
"I think she noticed that earlier my dude and she still invited us to her studio", Jake pointed out, taking a sip from his smoothie as he watched both Tara and Johnnie from across the table.
"Who's Isobel?", Tara asked curiously, her eyes switching back and forth between the two raven haired males. Johnnie has been her good friend for a while, so she was curious to hear about the new girl in their lives, wondering if she was anything more than a friend.
Jake nodded his head towards Johnnie, motioning for him to explain the story of how they met Isobel. Johnnie let out a laugh as he glanced down at Tara that seemed way too interested in it. The girl was always trying to get Johnnie to date again, so this seemed like a perfect opportunity to her, despite not knowing any details.
"Go on, spill the tea", she nudged the boy besides her, ignoring Jake's comment on how no one said that anymore. Instead she just agve him the finger.
"We were hungover and drove to Starbucks to get cake and shit, she was there. She's a designer, a fashion student and she wants us to model her clothes", Johnnie already predicted the reaction he was gonna get from the girl and he was right, glancing down at her as she gasped, her eyes jumping back and forth between the two males.
"A designer! Fun! But why would she want you losers to do it, let me show her what she's missing", the girl exclaimed as Jake burst out laughing. Tara playfully started posing, puckering her lips as she pulled on one of her hair strands, grabbing the attention of a few people nearby.
"It's exactly what I told her", Johnnie spoke, believing that anybody would be a better fit than the two, but he was honored that Isobel picked them.
"Is she cute, do you have any pictures?", Tara rambled as another smirk took over Jake's face. He shared a look with Johnnie who seemed hesitant at first, but then he pulled out his phone from his pocket and pulled up the Tumblr app.
