CHAPTER FIVE

CHAPTER FIVE: ONE ON ONE

In total, it took Isobel three more weeks to go through the whole process of re-ceating the pants she had ruined and scheduling the fitting with Jake and Johnnie. The two youtubers had a few plans for a vacation and some other events that hindered them from coming in, but Isobel totally understood.

Everything went great from there, the two youtubers came by a few days after Isobel had reached out to Johnnie again and since the girl agreed to them filming, under the condition that she won't be in the videos, the boys had done anything she asked of them, wanting to make her job a little bit easier.

Luckily, the fitting went well so that she barely had to adjust the pieces, just tightening the seams on Johnnie's blouse and adding a few patches on Jake's pants. To finish off the looks, Isobel had asked one of her designer friends if she could borrow some of his shoes for the runway and she was surprised to see the two guys agreeing so easily.

Considering the fact that both of the pairs were high heeled plattform boots, she thought it would take more convincing on her side. Johnnie was hesitant at first, but Jake truly loved the idea, putting on the boots like it was nothing. Isobel could see that Jake's confidence was affecting Johnnie positively and she thought it was really sweet.

During the second fitting, Isobel got to see the boys in full outfits for the first time and not only did her eyes water at the sight of them, she also realized how perfect Jake and Johnnie were as her models. Sure, they were inexperienced, had the attention span of little children and were goofy, sometimes to a point where Isobel feared they would actually rip the pieces from moving around so much, but they enbodied everything Isobel had envisioned and she never would have thought she'd be so satisified with her pick.

The blonde had them photographed by another friend of hers to get some sample shots when something happened that Isobel was convinced was just bound to happen due to her luck, but came at a time she almost deemed it impossible to happen anymore. For the shoot, Isobel had put together a little set and while Johnnie was seated on a graffiti plastered throne-like chair, Jake was putting his leg up on a disco ball.

Jake was laughing about something Johnnie had said when he lost balance and his leg slid of the discoball, ripping a hole into the pant leg due to the chunky plattform on his shoes. The boy let out a string of curse words before his head shot up to look at Isobel, whose lips were pressed into a thin line, her eyes already showing how exhausting the following days would be for her.

Jake immediately hurried out of both the shoes and pants, not caring if Isobel was going to see him in his Spongebob boxers as she had done so earlier in the day, he just wanted to prevent himself from damaging the pants any further.

Both the photographer and Johnnie, who walked over to the other male as soon as Jake rushed over to Isobel's side, watched the duo awkwardly, knowing that Isobel had spent so much time on re-creating the piece that they weren't sure if she was going to explode on Jake for being so wreckless or burst out crying and sink to the floor.

Jake was aware of the fact she had spent hours on finishing the piece for the second time and that's why he felt terrible. On top of that, he couldn't read the expression on Isobel's face at all, so he was all the more aware that he fucked up badly.

But despite what the three guys believed would be her reaction, she was calm. Atleast she seemed calm. On the inside, Isobel wanted to scream and kick something, but she knew it wouldn't change anything.
