[ch.16] his little brother

J.One was leaning on his car and looking at a taxi that had stopped in front of it. He sucked in and started feeling tense. He was aware of who would exit the taxi. That led to him becoming afraid and worried. He feared that the person he wanted to meet would have a hatred towards him.

"Ji!" 

His name was shouted loudly.

When the boy ran towards him with beautiful smiles, the feeling of fear and worry disappeared instantly. His uncle was correct when he said his little brother won't hate him.

"Hey, I'm still your hyung!"J.One flicked the younger's forehead before he pulled him in a hug.

"In your dreams!" answered the younger before both of them laughed.

Their hug is reminiscent of home. J.One missed this moment.

"Damn! I missed you, man."

"Man? Ew! I'm a pwincess.'' The younger person replied with his brat attitude.

J.One couldn't resist flicking the younger one's forehead. His little brother exhibited a whimper.

"I'm going to tell uncle that you were mean to me."

The older tsked, making the younger giggle. He knows his older brother is not afraid of anyone, including their mafia uncle,Junho.

"But for now, I'm hungry. I skipped lunch because I'm excited to have dinner with you."

The younger's statement made J.One's heart melt. His brother's attitude remains unchanged even though they haven't seen each other for quite some time.

It seems like nothing has happened in the past. Like J.One never left him. When his brother treated him like this, J.One began to feel guilty.

"I thought you hated me.."

The younger's's eyes widened, and he shook his head as a sign that he had never hated his older brother.

"What is the reason for me to hate you? Ji, you are my sibling. You're my other half. I love you." The younger person replied before getting into the car.

"But I left you. I.."

"I understand why you left me. I admit to being sad when you left me in that way. But Uncle Junho reassured me that you're safe."

"I regret not taking you. I wish I hadn't left you with him."

During this time, his brother did not reply. J.One saw a sad expression on that adorable face. His heart resurfaced with guilt. He began to recall something.

"Does he still hit you?"

The younger one gave a nod.

"Is this the same as before? Like.. everyday?"

"As I began studying in college, his beating of me became less frequent."

"You know what? Because of him, I learned how to fight and how to kill people."

"I know. I don't blame you for leaving me, that's why. After all, he still has a soft spot for me compared to you. He often hits you more severely than he hits me."

"Everyone has a soft spot for you."

The truth is that. His brother's character is different from his own. J.One prefers to avoid meeting people if possible.

Not like his brother. Even though they may be introverted, the young person has the ability to easily make everyone like them. His smiles, his soft voice, and his princess-like attitude..

"Not everyone.."

"Almost everyone," J.One corrected.

He witnessed his brother's smile again.  He hopes that smile will endure forever.  This is because after this, he will make sure his brother is safe in his 'care'.
