I stared at the time on my phone as I leaned against the wall of the grocery store. I tapped my finger impatiently as I waited for Matt. The cold air not doing me any good as well. My eyes went left and right, until I spotted him crossing over the road on his own time. I think he thinks he's like the main character or something. I pushed myself off the wall straighten myself. I waited until he reached me.

"Took you long enough"

"At least I'm here"

I pursed my lips together. He has a point.
"Come on" I motioned for him to walk with me to school.
"So 13 suspects.. Could be more then one killer"

"13?"

"Like I said, you're still a suspect in my eyes"

"Your eyes are deceiving you"

"Best be safe then sorry." I looked at him from the corner of my eyes. I still haven't forgotten that threat he made about how he wouldn't hesitate to kill. If he has nothing to do with the deaths of those kids why lie and say he killed them all? Like.. Is he trying to tell me something.
"... Holden, MacKenzie's ex. Saw the sour look on his face the day before the party. The day the two of them broke up. Assuming as MacKenzie was one of the hosts..."

"They broke up?"

".. Yeah, no one told you?"

"Who told you?"

"She herself"

"Of course she would"

We entered the school building, all eyes watching us. A few students whispered to each other. I tightened the straps of my back pack. Like I always do when I get nervous.

"What did you do?" I whispered to Matt.
"Breathe"

"Wow."

"Anyways, After the break up Holden wasn't invited to the party."

"Because MacKenzie didn't want to see his face"

"Yeah, because of that"

"Makes sense, but no prime evidence"

The fact that he could be telling lies right now still hung in the air. As for MacKenzie, she's dead. So the only way I'll find out if they really broke is going around asking, starting with Holland first. He'll probably push me away but that won't lead me to give up. It will only be a week or two then everyone will forget about this accident. They always do this. One can only imagine what those poor families are going through right now. And just like Zackary said, I should be glad I don't drink at such young age, who knows what could be in alcohol. Heard of the other time there was a party I didn't go to due to exams. Alcohol was also available, only for people to find out they mixed piss and mint sweets into the alcohol to give it extra flavor. Like be for real. Piss?
I've made the promise to myself when I was little, the first time I encountered a drunk person, the man forced a lollipop into my hands and tried to undress me. Luckily I had the most annoying voice, or so people would say. So when I screamed everyone turned to look, and security guards arrived immediately. And ever since then, that's what I thought alcohol did to everyone, so a promised, not to touch alcohol until I'm 20 or 21.
That day traumatized me so much, that I barely eat lollipops now.
And all that in a corner of a public mall, and to this day I still wonder where my mom went, when all that was going down.

Zackary opened the classroom door, my eyes counting 11 students this time. My first instinct was to go to Holland.
