The Demigod Across the Sea

Chapter 9

[Izuku's POV]

Annabeth won the first round because Momo was creating weapons that she could fight with and Annabeth always found a way to take them from her.

Next was Jason vs. Tokoyami. Jason won that round. He was able to knock Tokoyami back a bit, but soon, dark shadow found a way through. When Jason tried to fly away, Tokoyami followed. It was a close call, but finally Jason was able to get in a close combat with Tokoyami and kept Dark Shadow away.

Then was Piper vs. Shoji. Shoji almost won that round once he realized what she could do. He turned all his arms into eyes and mouths, but the damage was done. He was sluggish for a while, and Piper used this to her advantage. She managed to get him on the ground and immobilized him.

Hazel won against Uraraka. She kept making rocks appear from the ground and Uraraka was able to float parts of them, but not all of it. Finally Hazel went under the earth and made a tunnel that was supposed to trap Uraraka. Even though Uraraka used float on herself, Hazel still managed to trap her in the earth though.

Leo won against Kirishima after burning him enough.

Frank won against Iida by racing him as a cheetah until he was tired. Then he turned into a swarm of bees and kept stinging him. We were lucky Iida isn't allergic.

Finally was Percy vs. Todoroki. At first, Todoroki kept trying to use ice against Percy, but after Percy kept utilizing the ice, Todoroki melted the ice and kept using fire against Percy. Percy was able to dodge, but he wasn't able to land a hit. Soon, the winds started to pick up and Todoroki's fire wasn't able to stay where he wanted it. Percy got close enough to land enough hits and soon, he knocked Todoroki out.

"Pay up Piper" Annabeth says, which Piper complies to

"Sato, please bring Todoroki to Recovery Girl" Mr. Aizawa says.

He does so and everyone sits down while Mr. Aizawa explains what we're doing for the rest of the period. It was normal drills and training so everyone knew what they were doing. Everyone other than the Prophesized Seven. Several of us had helped them through the training, but they mainly came to me as I was the only one who spoke English fluently.

"How often do you guys do this?!" Leo asks exasperated

"Almost everyday. This isn't the worst of it though" I explain

"What do you mean-" Hazel begins, before she gets interrupted

"IS THAT A ROCKET LAUNCHER?!" Yells Percy

"Ooh, he hasn't used that one in a while" Mina comments

"Have fun" Bakugo laughs, speaking in English so that the new kids can understand

"Yeah, see you guysl" I say running off.

I felt a bit guilty since they were practically family, but if this were a mission and it was up to us to save the world, at least one person had to live to complete the mission. I hear the rocket whip through the air and I turn back and see the rocket about to hit Denki. I use Black Whip to pull him away from the rocket and it hits the ground and explodes

"WHAT IN HADES' NAME IS THIS TRAINING?!" Piper yells

"AREN'T YOU ALL VETERANS?" I ask

"I'VE NEVER ENCOUNTERED A BOMB IN ANY FIGHT!" Jason yells back

"FOCUS ON SURVIVING, NOT COMPLAINING!" Annabeth yells

Followed by that statement was an explosion by Frank
