The Demigod Across the Sea

Chapter 13

{Most of this chapter is TodoDeku, so unless you like the ship- and don't mind cringy scenes- skip to then end of the chapter}
[Izuku's POV]

"I hope you don't mind" Todoroki mutters, obviously embarrassed

"It's beautiful... it reminds me of that one scene from The Little Mermaid though" I say

"Well, I know you like the movie, and I thought the scene was nice" Todoroki says

"It's perfect, let's go!" I exclaim heading to the small rowboat.

We both get in and I set down the basket with small snacks

"Sorry it took me so long to get our make-up hang out ready" Todoroki says

"Don't worry about it, I didn't expect you to go above and beyond with this. It's amazing" I say.

We sit and continue to talk and it was nice. Then, the mood shifts a bit.

"Hey, what's that?" Todoroki asks. I look around and I see my demi-god friends

"It's the new kids trying to help me" I chuckle

"Help you with what?" Todoroki asks

"Nothing!" I say quickly

"Speaking of the new kids, what's up with you all. You're always running off and planning stuff in English. Plus, when you do disappear, some of you have this gold stuff on you" Todoroki explains. I knew he was clear-sighted, but he was also really perceptive, which wasn't the best for our case

"I promise, I will explain, but right now isn't the best time" I say

"Alright... do you think I'm crazy?" Todoroki asks

"Huh? No, not at all!" I exclaim

"Wow, they're really involved in this, aren't they?" Todoroki asks after a second of silence

"Yeah" I mumble.

We sit in more silence for a little bit, before I sense Piper using her charm speak. I block out what they're saying from my mind, but Todoroki distracts me

"Hey Midoriya... please don't hate me for this, but... I really like you" Todoroki says, leaving me speechless

"You... uh?" I say, as my dumb self usually would. Then, Piper's charm speak finally hits me, and suddenly, I get a whole lot bolder, and I kiss him before saying "I like you too"

'Piper, when I get my hands on you, you will wish you never did any of this' I thought as I tried to go against her charm speak. I hear them cheering and that's when Pipers charm speak loses its affect

"I uh..." Todoroki stutters, which is unusual

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. I can row us back to shore if you'd like" I say

"No, it's fine... do you really like me back?" Todoroki asks

"Do you really like me?" I ask.

We both look at each other and then smile knowing the answer to both of our questions

"So, would you like to date?" Todoroki asks

"Yes, I would like that very much" I smile.

I hear more cheering and I snap my head to where the group is

"Just let them be" Todoroki says.

I look at him and just sigh before turning my attention away from the demi-gods. We drift around a little while more and eat the snacks I had packed.

It gets really late though and upon seeing me yawn, Todoroki rows us to shore and we get off. He leads us to the dorms when I hear something

"Psst" someone whispers.

I look around then hear it again. Finally, I see a little glimmer that's moving

"Hey Todoroki, I'm just gonna take a quick breather over here. Don't worry about me, you can leave without me" I say

"Are you sure?" he asks

"Definitely. See you tomorrow and thank you again for tonight" I say with a smile.

We separate ways and I walk in the bushes, following the glimmer. When we get to a secluded part, the glimmer stops and it's Zale

"Izuku, you have no idea how hard it was to get back in" Zale says

"Yeah, we figured there may be something weird with the borders" I say

"There's also something wrong with the gods. Poseidon's causing a lot of storms in New York, Aphrodite is on some rant. Zeus is about to bring a war on Hades, and Hephaestus is trying to blow up Ares.
Most other gods are going crazy as well. Apollo is getting closer to the earth each day, Artemis is hunting humans and is doing it solo. It's madness!" Zale exclaims

"What about Auntie? Or Heracles?" I ask

"I haven't really looked at Heracles, but your Aunt is doing well. She's a bit worried for Poseidon, and is distancing herself a bit more. Those who aren't affected like Cupid or Hestia are getting ready to take over others kingdoms or for war" Zale explains

"Do you think this is the person from the prophecy?" I ask

"There's no way this isn't" Zale says

"How do I tell the others?" I ask

"It's up to you, but you need to tell them" Zale says

"Alright, now, hop on in, you look like you need a rest" I say

"I'm okay with that" Zale says before flowing in my necklace. I sigh
