Chapter 13: I Like You, Like As More Then A Friend

I pull back in apsolute panic, sitting up as my face lit on fire. Oh shittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!

He propped himself up on his elbows, eyes wide. "Are you good?"

"Uh..." I look down at my knees, I was panicking. What was I supposed to say? "Oh yeah I'm fine. All I just did was KISS MY CRUSH!!!" Pfft, that's just dumb.

"I'm... fine." Was what I decided on.

"You don't look fine. I... I didn't mean to... k-kiss you. That was an accident." He says as he hugs his knees to his chest.

"Uhhh... yeah." I mutter.

"I didn't mean to do that, like really that was a complete accident. Uh, is everything alright?" He asks.

I shrug, not sure about what I was supposed to say. I stood up and sat on my bed, lost in thought. That is until Veneer spoke again.

"Did you... want, to kiss me?"

I look up, shock taking over me, I didn't know how to answer that question.

"I..." Was all I could say.

"Did you?" He asks.

I bite my lip. "Do you want me to want to kiss you?"

At this he blushed and looked down. "K-kind of." He was so quiet I could barely heard him.

I couldn't have been more shocked. "Seriously?"

"This is stupid." He muttered, he stood up and walked towards the door. "I should just go."

"No! Veneer, wait!" I stand up and grab his hand, he turned his head to look at me, red face. I couldn't believe what I was about to do.

I grab his face and lock our lips together. I had to lift myself up on my toes a bit due to him being taller then me.

When I slowly pull away, the both of us stare at each other for a few moments.

"I..." I murmer so quietly I could barely hear myself. "I like you, like as more then a friend."

"Seriously?" He asks. 

"Um... yeah." I chuckle. "I actually have for a while."

"Me too." And before I could respond he kisses me again, and again.

He stops after a moment and stares at me, our noses barely an inch away from each other. "Will you... be my boyfriend?"

I was still possessing what was going on, but without thinking about what was going on I said: "Yes."

He smiles, and we lock lips for what felt like the tenth time in just seven minutes. Yes I counted, don't be judgy.

Veneer sneaked his hands down to my hips and I felt one of his fingers slither into my pocket, leaning over me a bit onto my bed. Then there was a sudden loud noise and I could hear my sister yelling for me from downstairs.

"RITZ?! WHERE ARE YOU?! WHY ARE YOU NOT ANSWERING YOUR PHONE?!" Orchid yelled.

"I'm... uh, busy." I responded.

"BUSY DOING WHAT?! KISSING SOMEONE?!" She yells sarcastically.

"NO!" YES!

"We were watching a movie!" Veneer yells.

"WHY'S VENEER HERE?!" Orchid questions. "WAIT- was I...?"

"NO!" I yell. "Just... we'll be down in a sec!"

"OKAY!" Orchid calls.

After that, Veneer went home and me and Orchid just had a bowel of ice cream before we got a call from Lenny.

"Hey sis!" Orchid says cheerily when she answers the video call. "How's collage been?"

"It's been good." My sister says through the screen. "How's everything for you guys?"

"Good!" I say.

The three of us talked for a few hours until Mom's got home, then they ended up having a LONG talk with Lenny about stuff. She informed us that her friends Poppy and Viva were throwing some party and was wondering if we wanted to come, we agreed and me and Orchid went to bed.
