It was Friday
Now that Maeve was a jonin she was asked to do little missions around the village because of the anbu part
Now she was taking some papers to shino sensei ,
Just as she entered the class she saw boruto hanging upside down from the ceiling tied ok a rope
"Why is it that you always are the one in trouble boruto ?" Maeve asks rhetorical
He turns around hearing her voice
"Oiii shadow , get me out of here" he asks and now everyone's attention is on them
Even shikadais who was asleep till now
Hearing the name shadow got him wide awake
Now he was able to see her face without a mask and he was frozen in place
Meanwhile Maeve took out a napkin and put it on his so he could shut up
"Finally " she whispered when he shut up but after 2 seconds he started mumbling against the napkin
"Shino sensei , lord hokage asked me to give this to you , these are the passes your class needs for the mist village " Maeve says
"Ahh thank you , uhh..." he starts but stops when about to say her name , not knowing it
"It's Maeve " Maeve says still with a serious look
"Wait Maeve mikage , weren't you here like four years ago ?" He questions
"WHATTT?" Cho cho says from her place
"If she was here four years ago that makes her fifteen right?" She asks
"You know how to do math , congratulations " Maeve says looking at her ,
"Howw , you don't look at day over 12 " she asks
"I don't know , good genes" Maeve says unsure
"Well then , I think this would be a good time for me to announce that our class will be going on a field trip to the mist village under the protection of Maeve mikage " shino says
"Now we need a leader of the group , someone to keep their eyes on you all the time , any volunteer" he asks
"I vote for boruto " Maeve says raising her hand
"Yeah so do we" the whole class says after her
"Well it is settled then see you all this afternoon on board " shino says
Maeve goes to where boruto is yet
"I want my napkin back , but I'd probably want to burn my hand if I touch it again "
Maeve says and takes her leave
Shikadai tries to get to her but before he can she dissappears again
When everyone had boarded the ship Maeve was keeping an eye on them
When her eyes went to shikadai
He looked like he was looking for someone , I wonder who (we know who)
Maybe boruto , anyways Maeve takes a seat down and closes her eyes for a moment
"Hey" a voice says waking her up
Shikadai
"What is it ?" She asks him
"It's night time , I saw you here and thought you'd be more comfortable inside " he says
"Yeah , thanks " Maeve says and gets up
One thing shikadai noticed was that even though she was 15 years old she was just two inches taller then him
"Hey uhhh..." he starts and turns to her
"I'm sorry " he says bowing to her
"For what ?" She asks chuckling a bit
"Well I guess it is my fault you were fired from anbu , but I swear I didn't tell my dad , he just has a way with words that made me confused and before I knew it , I had told him about the butterfly shuriken and..." he tries to continue
"Your rumbling " Maeve says and he stops
"O-Oh sorry about that " he says scratching his neck
"Me getting fired was not your fault shikadai , there were other reasons , so don't worry about it , kay" Maeve says looking at him with a smile then walking inside leaving there a blushing mess shikadai to think about what just happened
