Chapter 6

The rest of the summer passed quickly for Hades between the lessons to catch up on everything he missed, friends and getting to know the dark side better. It was a week before he was supposed to return to Hogwarts with his friends that he had finally made his decision about what he was going to do.

After multiple discussions with his friends and some vague conversations with some of the dark side he had decided to not return to Hogwarts. Over the course of the summer Hades had realized that no matter how much he might have wanted to, he could not heal in the place which had brought him so much misery which meant leaving Britain all together.

His friends were all supportive of him, they all knew that he had too many demons to handle especially if he was returning to Hogwarts which used to be home for him but was now tainted by pain and betrayal. They knew that in order to truly find out who he was, he needed to do that away from Britain and away from people.

Now he just needed to tell the people that he had become closest to after moving here for the summer. He asked Narcissa, Lucius, Severus and Marvolo to join him in the library which is where he had most of his lessons with them and they would arrive there soon. Hades didn't know if he was ready to tell them because they had all become close over the summer, but he had put it off long enough.

"Hades," Marvolo called his name softly, snapping him back to reality to see that they had all arrived and sat down.

He took a deep breath before just blurting it all out, "I have decided not to return to Hogwarts." He opened his eyes which he hadn't even realized he closed when he heard nothing and saw that the four adults were looking at him with understanding.

"We know, your friends came to us earlier this week and said that you were reluctant to tell us that you were leaving," Severus said softly, "I will admit that we all had explosive reactions but then your friends explained more to us about why and that this was something that you needed to do, for you."

"I can't say that I am thrilled that you will be leaving but we understand. You can not heal where all of these ghosts and shadows haunt you, we have started putting together plans of what will happen once you leave and what we can do to assist you." Marvolo explained.

"Have you decided where you will be going? It would be helpful for us to know so that we can go over our plans with you." Lucius asked.

"We just want you to be safe," Cissa said.

Hades was overwhelmed with their support but resolved that he would thank his friends later for making it easier on him so that he didn't have to explain everything. He took another deep breath before sitting down so that they could go over their plans and collaborate on whatever was needed.

"I am planning on going to Kuku Yalanji Academy, it is a magical school in the Daintree Rainforest in Australia. It's not widely known but their class selection is extensive and they allow for independent study and any assistance that it may require. Their healers are also some of the best in the world and I have written to the Headmaster about admittance and some additional information that he may need."

He took another breath before continuing, "He is aware that I need an extensive amount of healing and that I will be attending under my new name because I want no association with my old one. The goblins have vetted him and vouch for him but we did have him sign a secrecy contract before going more in depth. He is happy to let me come to his school to learn without any additional pressures and he assures me that I will be able to leave every so often."

"The Headmaster is aware that once I am healed that I will need all new things even though I got a better wardrobe with Cissa, it will change when I grow and we only got enough for the summer. Their school also does trips to different magical districts so I can see the world as well and since I will need to do much more reading even with the extra lessons that you have provided and my own self study, he has made arrangements."
