Taehyung's absence wasn't something Jungkook was expecting.

The auditorium buzzed with the excitement of families and friends, their faces lit with pride as they watched the new graduates cross the stage.

Jungkook adjusted his cap, scanning the crowd for a familiar face. He had been looking forward to this day for years, but now, a knot of anxiety twisted in his stomach.

Taehyung was supposed to be here.

Even when things were awkward between them, Taehyung never avoided him. They had their disagreements, their moments of silence, but he was always there.

Today was different. Jungkook checked his phone again, the screen reflecting his frown as he saw no new messages. Not a single call or text from Taehyung.

His heart pounded, a mix of anger and worry fueling his restlessness.

Why was he so furious? He tried to dissect his emotions, the memories of their last conversation replaying in his mind.

Taehyung had promised he would be here.

Yet, the empty seat next to him was a glaring reminder of that broken promise.

"Maybe he finally grew tired of me," Jungkook thought, his chest tightening at the possibility.

The idea of Taehyung leaving him, of all the awkward silences and unspoken words piling up until they became too much, gnawed at his insides.

He felt a rush of heat, his hands clenching into fists. How could Taehyung do this? How could he just disappear without a word?

The ceremony continued, each name called out a blur in Jungkook's mind. He stood in line, waiting for his turn, the applause of the crowd a distant murmur. As he walked across the stage, receiving his diploma, he forced a smile for the cameras. Inside, he was a storm of conflicting emotions, the joy of graduation overshadowed by Taehyung's absence.

After the ceremony, Jungkook wandered through the sea of people, his mind was elsewhere.

He checked his phone again, the screen blank. Nothing. He felt a surge of frustration, his thumb hovering over Taehyung's contact. Should he call? Demand an explanation?

Instead, he shoved the phone back into his pocket, his anger bubbling over. Taehyung owed him more than this silence. He had a right to be upset, to feel abandoned. But beneath the fury, there was an ache, a longing.

Is he.... okay?

What if something happened to him?

Jungkook took a deep breath, trying to steady himself.

He glanced one last time at the empty seat in the crowd.

He had to go.

He needed to find Taehyung.

Because no matter how furious he was, he couldn't deny the truth: he needed to know why Taehyung hadn't shown up.

Jungkook felt a strange tension in the air as he made his way through the bustling campus, but he brushed it off.

His footsteps echoed softly against the pavement as he made his way to the parking lot, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of Taehyung.

With a cold expression, he slid into his car and drove off, unaware of the pair of eyes tracking his every move from the shadows.

Daehyun's lips curled into a wicked smile as he watched Jungkook's car disappear into the distance.

He turned to Myungki, who stood beside him with a look of growing unease.
