Chapter 1- finding out

Lucy's pov
I woke up earlier than usual and felt super sick. I had to rush to the bathroom to throw up. I tried to be as quiet as possible so I wouldn't wake up Celina. I went back to bed for another hour before getting up for work. Once I was done getting dressed I went out to see Celina had made breakfast for us.
"Hey I heard you this morning you good"
"Yeah I'm fine probably just coming down with the flu or something"
"Ok well I made breakfast"
"I see that thank you"
"Ofc well I'm going to head off to the station unless you need anything else" I was just about to answer her but then I had to rush to the bathroom again this time I wasn't the one holding my hair back Celina followed me into the bathroom and was holding my hair back for me and once I was done puking my guts out she asked if I was sure I was good and I told that I was fine and she left for work. That's when it hit me that I was late. I left for work trying not to freak out cause I could be late for a number of reasons stress or just my cycle changing or, could I actually be- no, no I can't oh god if I am then that means that Tim, ok no I need to clam down when I got to the station I put on my uniform and went to talk to Harper and Lopez
"Hey guys can I talk to y'all for a minute"
"Sure what's up" they both say
"I think I might be um pregnant" I wish per the last part
"WHAT" they both say at the same time
"Shh, I don't know for sure I haven't taken a test yet but this morning I woke up nauseous as hell and realized I'm late"
"How late" Lopez asks
"A couple weeks"
"Oh Lucy you sure sound pregnant" Harper says
"Yeah but I can't be pregnant I mean it just is t the right time and I can't do the whole single mom thing and I don't even know if I want to be a mom"
"Slow down girl" Lopez says
"Yeah she's right slow down and who says you will be doing the whole single mom thing and really it's not that hard" Nyla speaks up over y panicking
"Thanks but I'm pretty sure the dad doesn't need this on top of everything that going with him and no offense but you weren't a single mom you co-parented with your ex and now you have a husband so"
"Who is the father anyway" Angela asks
"Who do you think" Nyla responds before I get to
"Tim?" Angela asks
"Tim what" we hear from behind us it's Tim god how long has he been standing there for
"Oh nothing other than you are being an idiot for leaving her" Angela says after that he just nods and walks out of the room and Nyla says that she still has some tests at her place and we can meet there after shift I thank her and go find Aron we're riding together today. Shift was pretty uneventful thank god cause I don't know if I could've handled anything big right now. I head over to Nylas house and see that her and Angela are already there so I know on the door and Nyla answers the door and I go over to Angela they have a bottle of wine open and the smell alone makes me want to barf again so I run to the bathroom and do just that Nyla and Angela just look at me then look at each other concerned
"Have you been this sick all day" Nyla asks me
"Yes" I say in between barfing
"Oh god" Angela says once I finishing barfing Nyla helps me off the bathroom floor and over to the couch and then go to get a pregnancy test and when she comes back I go take and Angela sets a timer for 3 minutes once it's up I can't look at it so I ask them to
"Lucy you're definitely pregnant" Angela say bad Nyla just nods as she flips the test around for me to see and it is two very distinct lines
"Oh god" is all I can say before I'm back on the bathroom floor picking my guts out this time Nyla come and hold my hair and Angela gets me a glass of water and asks if she should call Tim and I tell her no I ended up spending the night at nylas house along with Angela and the next day after I change into my uniform I run into Tim
"Hey" he says
"Hey um we need to talk about something can I come over after shift"
"Sure what do we need to talk about exactly"
"You'll see later look I've got to go" with that I go puke some more
