I was definitely staring for too long, I think I've counted every single water droplet that spread across his chest by now.
Was that bad?
Was I sexually deprived?
Maybe, most definitely, but this wasn't the time for that and definitely not with Kian.
"Are you done?"
I blinked, coming back to reality, tracing my eyes up until they met his.
"Huh?"
Instead of answering me, he smirked, dragging his arm up the door, leaving enough space so I could enter his room.
Once I was in, he closed the door, and I cleared my throat.
"Why are you here?" He asked, leaning against the door with his arms folded across his chest. At that moment, I took in his full appearance. He was exposed except for the white towel that left everything else to imagination.
"Hmm?"
"W-what?"
"I asked. Why are you here?" He repeated, and I felt slightly embarrassed that I was staring when I was a mated individual, and he was probably aware of the fact that I was staring.
"Oh, we needed a place to stay."
"We?"
"Yes, Rhea and Cassius are here too." I informed him.
"Oh."
I nodded, looking around his boring room. It was spacious, nothing really inside, I wondered why. Now I wanted to see everyone's bedroom.
We all seemed to have a different aesthetic.
Mine was filled with random things I found interesting, and Zephyr's was plain and manly. That was until he started to sleep in mine.
Why was his so sad and bland?
Anyways.
"Have you seen my mate anywhere or heard of him anywhere at all?" I asked, and that seemed to peak his interest because his eyebrows shot up slightly, then fell if you blinked, you'd miss it.
"We aren't the greatest of friends, so no, I haven't." He said, and I nodded.
"Okay, I was just asking."
"You're worried."
"Brilliant observation, of course I'm worried."
He left me standing in the middle of his room to change his clothes, then came back with a smaller towel drying his hair.
"If I hear anything, I'll let you know."
"Good." I replied, leaving his room almost immediately and leaning against the door to take a breath.
Pushing myself off the door, I walked back in the direction I came from to tell Rhea and Cassius that I had found him.
Rhys
The guilt was something I did not like to feel. Even though I was playing hero, it felt as if I was betraying Mylo.
This was all to protect him, and I felt bad about it.
He would sacrifice himself to save his friends and family, but that wasn't me. I'd sacrifice them to save him.
"Listen, I know this is hard for you. When faced with an ultimatum such as this one, it is hard. But, you gain more from one."
