Chapter 13

When me and Juls woke up, we ate breakfast that my mom cooked for us. Then, we took our turns taking a shower

“Bes, sure ka okay ka lang? I can make my schedules for work change to tomorrow!” Juls asked me.

“Talaga, promise! Okay na okay ako!” I smiled at her.

“Sige, I have to go.” she said, hugging me, “Promise me you’ll call me if you need me?” 

I nodded and hugged her back.

“Sige, bye!” she waved to me, and quickly headed out.

I sat down on my bed and sighed.

“Now I’m all alone with my thoughts.”

-DANIEL’S POV-

I slowly woke up, with a grieving headache.

“Arayyyyyyyyyyy.” I grunted as I rubbed my head.

“HOY DJ! TUMAYO KA NGA!” I heard a ringing voice say.

“Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” I covered my ears.

“Sabi ng gumising ka na!”

I looked up to see who it was and it was mom.

“Maaaaa! Ang sakit na ng ulo ko o, tapos sasabayin mo pa ng boses mo!” 

“Kasalan ko ba na nag lasing ka ng sobra sobra kahapon, HA?”

I suddenly remembered little pieces of what happened last night.

“Ma, si Kath?”

“Nasaan pa, edi sa bahay nya.”

“Ma, I need to talk to her.” I started to get up, but fell back down on my bed, “Owww.” 

I felt weak everywhere.

“Okay ka lang DJ?” she put her hand on my forehead, “DJ! May lagnat ka!”

“Ma, kailangan ko kausapin si Kath!” I tried to stand up again, but failed.

“HINDI. Dyan ka lang. Hindi ka aalis.” 

“PERO MA!!” I tried to argue with her.

“NO DJ. THAT’S FINAL.” she left the room, and closed the door angrily.

“Ugh.” I groaned.

I gave up and went back to sleep.

-KATHRYN’S POV-

I quickly picked up my phone, not looking at the caller id.

“Hello?” I answered.

“Hi, Kath. This is Karla, DJ’s mom.” 

Mommy ni DJ?! Oh god, am I in trouble?!

“Uhh-- hi tita, ba’t napatawag po kayo?” I nervously asked.

“Napatawag ako dahil kay DJ.”

Uh oh.

“May lagnat kasi si DJ, eh ang kulit kulit nya. Gusto ka nya makita Kath eh.” she continued, “Can you visit him at least once? Para kumalma naman sya.”
