Pihu's POV:
It's a new day and a new me I hoped I could say this line but alas. It's a new day, but it has the same old drama. Today I have to meet Shlok and his lawyers in his office. Before signing the papers, they must ensure that we are all on the same page. I am not sure on what same page we need to be. As per Dad, this was the last time I would see them. So one last time I am getting ready to close this mess.
I have decided to wear a black off-shoulder top matched with white pants. To make it look better I put on a black belt and a bag of black color. I kept my hair open and wore the heels of black color. I don't know why I am getting ready but I feel like I should.
Taking deep breaths I took my phone in my hand with a purse on my shoulder I walked out of the room. Entering the hall I was welcomed by the aroma of the home-cooked meal prepared by Mom.
"Mom I will eat this apple for breakfast for now," I told her picking up the apple. "No, you are not. You will be eating the aloo parantha I cooked for you," she told me and put a hot parantha on my plate.
"Mom," I whined but Dad interrupted me by saying "Darling you need to eat. Your lifestyle is not healthy." Now Mom had the upper hand of course as Dad supported her. She gave me a smile indicating to sit on the chair.
Defeated I sat on the chair and said "Fine but just one. I am not in a mood." "Fine just one," this time Dad gave me the support. I returned her the smile indicating it was my victory.
After having our breakfast we started to leave for the car. During the car drive, Dad discussed something with the lawyers. My mind started to play with all the memories I made while traveling on the same road.
"We have reached," Dad announced and I looked at the building in front of me. The lawyer came out of the car first but it took me a minute to take a step out. "I am here for you," Dad told me and came out of the car. Then he opened the door for me to step out. Giving him a smile I came out of the car.
Entering the office I was welcomed by the same people whom I have spent time with. Some smiled at me and some ignored me. "They are waiting for us in the conference room," the lawyer informed us.
I took the elevator and reached the floor where they were waiting. I waited outside the room thinking about all the what ifs. What if Aditya is there, his mother, or anyone I don't want to see? I am assuming it should just be Shlok it will be a lot better.
"You can do it," Dad encouraged me. Giving him a weak smile and nodding my head in a yes I entered the conference room. The conference room was not huge as there were more huge rooms here. The chair's color was black while the color of the room was a mix of white and brown. One side of the wall was a television attached and one side was kept blank. One side had a glass door to enter while one side was a glass window.
