Chapter 8

At The Headquarters of the Foot

Danny walked quickly through the training areas and into the remote storage section were Splinter was being chain up in. "I have not seen you for days." Splinter said to him with a weak voice. "Yeah, I've been down at my hideout a lot lately." Danny said to him. "And do you now hide from your surrogate family as well?" Splinter asks him. "I don't know." Danny said to him, he confused. "I too...once had a family, Danny." Splinter said to him, Danny looked at Splinter, he knew Splinter was about to tell him a story from his own life. He hoped it would help him understand and decide.

"Many years ago. I lived in Japan...a pet of my master, Yoshi mimicking his movements from my cage...and learning the mysterious art of Ninjitsu...for Yoshi was one of Japer's finest shadow warriors. His only rival was a man named Oroku Saki...and they competed in all things...but none more fiercely than for the love of a woman. Tang Shen." Splinter said to him making Danny nod. "Shen's love was only for my master...and rather than see him fight Saki for her hand...she persuaded Yoshi...to flee with me to America...but Saki vowed vengeance. I remember it well. As my master returned home...to find his beloved Shen lying on the floor. And then he saw her killer. Saki wasted no words, and during the struggle...my cage was broken. I leapt to Saki's face, biting and clawing...but he threw me to the floor...and took one swipe with his katana, slicing my ear. Then he was gone and I was alone." Splinter said to him, Danny felt Splinter's deep sadness at the loss. "Whatever happened to this Oroku Saki?" Danny asks him. "No one really knows...but you wear his symbol upon your brow." Splinter said to him. Without thinking, Danny reached up and felt the headband he'd put on. 

Saki and Shredder are the same person

Meanwhile Casey was in the building looking around seeing a lot of boxes and items. Casey hides when Foot ninjas walk over to where he was. Casey grabs one of them and he kicks him out then he changes into his clothes before he walks out to find Danny.

Danny then takes off his headband and dropped it on to the floor, for good. Then Danny heard the thunderous voice from behind him. "What are you doing in there, boy?" Shredder asks him making Danny turn around. "Oh, nothing." Danny said trying to sound as innocent as possible. It didn't work. Shredder didn't believe him. "Where have you been?" Shredder asks him once he sees the headband on the floor. "Nowhere." Danny said to him. "You're lying to me." Shredder said to him. "No." Danny said to him. "And you're hiding something as well." Shredder said then he pulls out his claws by Danny's face making him up. Almost as if he knew where he'd find something, Shredder went into Danny's pocket.  Shredder pulls out a paper that was folded in Danny's packet. Shredder opened the paper slowly and it was a drawing of Leo one of April's draws. "They're back." Shredder said then he and Tatsu walks away.

Danny follows them and he sees Shredder and Tatsu talking. "There will be no mistake this time. I go myself. And the rat...kill it." Shredder said to him making Danny run back to Splinter. As Danny runs an Foot ninja grabs him. "Hey, what do you want?" Danny asks him then the ninja removes their mask and it was Casey. "Shh, shh. Recognize me now, kid? Hey, what's the deal?" Casey asks him. "You got to come with me." Danny said to him. "What are you talking about? Come with you?" Casey asks him. "They're gonna kill Splinter." Danny said to him. Casey and Danny dashed back into the secluded section of the warehouse together.

Back In The Sewer

Raph is awaken up by Jamey. "What?" Raph asks her. "The kid is gone and we can't find Casey." Jamey said to him. "We may need to prepare for an attack." Jesse said to him. "The girls knows Danny they saw him hanging out with Foot clan." Leo said to him. "Great." Raph said to himself while Donnie and Mikey help April to high ground. "Let's hide guys." Cheyenne said to them.
