BETRAYAL!!!- A kotlc fanfiction

Shock!!!

  Keefe POV.

I still can't believe that Sophie, my Sophie, the Sophie who I call Foster when I am talking out loud but call Sophie in my head, the only one I ever loved, the only one who actually cared about me. She betrayed me. Why? Just one question. Why? A one word question is all I have. Why? 

"G-guys p-p-please j-just let me e-explain-" Sophie tries to speak again but gets cut off by Fitz.(A/N aka Ritz Cracker)

"You stupid idiot! Why would you do something like that? Huh? Speak!" Sophie is on the verge of tears right now. I know I should support her but I can't bring myself to support her. She betrayed us. 

"P-please l-let me say s-something" Sophie says finally able to get a complete sentence out of her mouth before getting cut off by someone. 

" Why would we let you say something?" Forkle asks. I am very surprised because I was actually thinking he would support her. I just can't make myself to even say her name. " We hear everything, and I mean everything. We even heard you ask when your murder will be staged. You were talking to the neverseen about a murder being staged what other proof would we need. Just tell me, what other proof would we need to know that Project Moonlark is a failure? I am very disappointed in you Moonlark. Clearly if my brother were here, he would agree with me on the fact that we never thought things through when we made you and that Project Moonlark has failed and is a disaster." 

I could tell that Forlke hit a really weak spot in her. She looked like all of her hope was gone. She looked heartbreakingly sad. But I don't care. I want to but I just can't. 

"P-please j-just l-listen to me" She tried again. At this point she was crying hard, she looked like she was trying to stop them from streaming down her cheeks but she wasn't able to. There was literally a huge puddle of water near her foot which were her tears. I wouldn't be surprised if she flooded Everglen and that way she can get rid of her tears and she is in the Neverseen so she would probably enjoy flooding Everglen. 

"Shut up you traitor!" Bangs Boy yelled at her. Linh who had naturally pink cheeks were flaming red from anger and she didn't even stop her twin from saying anything, in fact she looked so mad she looked like she was going to flood the whole place with all the water she could find. 

"I-I'm n-not j-j-joining the N-never-S-seen." The one whose name should not be said, said again. I was honestly getting sick of it. I lost my control and I screamed at her.

"Stop lying to us, I'm sick of it!" I yelled. I knew she would have a good reason for doing this, and I knew we should give her a chance to speak but I just can't. I just can't do anything about it, I can't be on her side. 

She looked like she was looking at Councilor Oralie for backup, if we her own friends, or maybe I should say ex-friends, don't forgive her, why would a councilor, a councilor, forgive her? Do they have a connection in any way?  

"You are such a freak! I wish I never got you to the Lost Cities from that museum." Fitz yelled angry as always but this time with so much anger it knocked me a step back. 

"Why are you doing this to us?" Biana asked angry but sad. And like that, just like that, all emotions of hope in the one whose name should not be said was gone. She just snapped her fingers and left. After she left chaos erupted in Everglen.

After the shock wore off  someone yelled, who I later found out was Fitz, "Where did she go? Did she get some sort of new ability? I sure hope it is a vanisher because, you are such a freak! You hear that Sophie! A freak! Yeah, that's what you are." 

"No, she isn't here anymore, I'm tracking her thoughts and I can't feel them anywhere." Forkle said. 

Everyone was in shock! She just left, she just left in a way that none of us knew, even her cognate Fitz. (A/N anyone also hate when the line "BuT wE ArE CoGnAtEs" always comes up, its honestly annoying)
