Panicked Face

(A/N) Sorry for not updating in a while. I am on vacation in a different country there is also no wifi where I was so it was hard to update. Anyway hope u guys enjoy this chapter.

Biana POV.

When Keefe picked up the letter to hope started blooming in my chest, hope that we would have an explanation on why we were betrayed. But instead all we got was

"I'm sorry I'm a failure."

"How pathetic and idiotic that she betrays us and leaves us with a stupid note saying I'm sorry I'm a failure and acts like it solves everything" I mumbled very quietly that I was sure no one heard me except Tam was looking at me agreement in his eyes and also something else. I couldn't tell what that emotion was but I hope it was love. Ever since I met Tam my crush on Keefe faded and my eyes were only for him.

Then I realised that I shouldn't be thinking about my crush but should be thinking about the massive betrayal done by...by her

Tam voiced my thoughts out loud.

"Pathetic! She can't just say that. She joins the Neverseen, denies it when we ask her, and now she runs away leaving us nothing but note that says
' I'm sorry I'm a failure ' and acts like that solves everything."

I looked at Tam only to find out that he was staring at me. Our eyes met and we both looked away blushing. Wait! Oh My God! Tam was blushing. I've never seen him blush. He is so cute when he blushes.

Speaking of blushing, I wonder if Vertina has ever caught Sophie not blushing because she blushes 24-7. Ughh, why can't I stop thinking about her. Wait Vertina! How could I not realise this!

"Wait what about Vertina? I can ask her to see if she knows something." I practically yelled.

"Woah there! Who's Vertina?" Keefe asked confused.

" I'm Vertina!" Vertina exclaimed from the mirror. (A/N Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets reference anyone?) I almost screamed because Vertina startled me. Talk about dramatic entrance.

"Vertina! Nice to see you, anyway do yoh know anything about what's going on, about Sophie I mean." I said choosing words carefully.

"No, I'm sorry, I don't know what you are talking about. Wait you said about Sophie, actually I can go ve you something. Yesterday, I remember seeing Sophie leaving Havenfield after putting something on her bed. Seriously for how pretty she is, she wears the ugliest clothes you could imagine. Anyways, she went inside her closet and came out wearing something so ugly it looked like something humans would wear. Actually scratch that. She worse something even more dull than what humans would wear. Humans wear more colored clothes than that."

That was a pretty good amount of info. Useful info. Wait what if Sophie was acting different, I was going to ask her when she cut me off.

" Oh I also noticed, she has been really nervous and depressed lately as of she was being pressured. I asked her if she was okay and she would panic and answer ' I'm fine' every single time. She was also quite jumpy." Vertina said answering my unspoken question.

RING! RING! RING! My imparted vibrated in my pocket. I picked it up and saw that it was my dad calling me. I answered the call and my dad's panicked face appeared on the screen.

" Everyone come to Everglen! NOW! Grady and Edaline are here already.

Anybody know what's got Mr.NoReasonToWorry all worried? Quite surprising too isn't it.
