As the first rays of the morning sun peeked from behind the mountains, the zombies scattered, looking desperately for a place to hide. The demon eyes flied away, leaving a clear space for birds to fly around.
Y/n and Cody walked back to the village. With a final fist bump, Cody headed to his home to take a well deserved nap, and Y/n went to his to check on the peerage.
The house was silent, except for a faint snore that could be heard somewhere. It came from upstairs.
"They're still sleeping, it seems..." Y/n mumbled. He passed through the living room, arrived at the kitchen, and finally opened the camouflaged door. The staircase to the base was lit with candles, reminding Y/n vaguely of the same staircase in the church.
He shook his head, hoping to shake the thoughts off too. Asia was safe now, he knew that. There was no point in dwelling on the past.
He quickly made his way down the base in silence, internally planning to change the environment later. Once in the the base, he took his time to analyze the chests, seeing their contents and scribbling in a small piece of paper everything he was going to need replenish.
The time he had to stay in Terraria was limited, he knew, that's why he had to make it count. He'd use the time to improve his gear and better explore the surface.
In his last time here, Y/n had spent most of his time in the underground, his silver pickaxe clutched tightly in his hands as he mined ores and looked for underground chests.
The only time he could explore the surface, the first thing he found wasn't a kingdom, nor a village, much less a person. But one of the things he swore to wipe out.
The corruption.
From behind his screen, back in his home world, The corruption was bad enough. But in person it was horrifying! The moment he stepped in corrupt grass, the air seemed to thicken. His lungs feeling heavy, making the simple act of breathing the sickly sweetness of corrupt air an extra challenge. Soul Eaters came out from the abysses like a swarm of angry wasps, clacking their chelicerae menacingly.
Our hero tried to hold his own against them, with the aid of Light's Bane and its Shadow Slash attack, or the tendon bow, but the more he took out, the more appeared. A soul eater managed to snatch Y/n between its chelicerae, and was squeezing him hard. If not for a well-timed recall potion, Y/n's soul would be theirs to feast on.
The thought of it still sent shivers down his whole body till this day. Having finished noting down everything he would need in order to improve, Y/n grabbed some things he might find useful.
A swiftness potion, the last one he had.
Torches
Lots of rope
Some shine potions and other essentials.
Glowsticks
Some bombsBack in the kitchen, he closed the door slowly as to not disturb anyone's sleep, but he'd come to know it wasn't necessary. Rias was just coming down the stairs, rubbing the sleep off her eyes. Akeno was just behind her, a little more awake than her king. Their hairs were equally messy, Y/n liked to think that was a sign you had a good night sleep.
"Oh, Y/n. Morning." She said, Akeno waved mid-yawn.
"Morning, sleeping beauties. Did you sleep well?"
They confirmed, nodding their heads lazily. The rest of the group came a moment after, all of them in comfortable clothes. They greeted each other and occupied themselves with excited chatter.
Y/n, ever the host, served them with bowls of bunny stew. Goldfish soup for Koneko, as he noticed she had a liking to fish.
Y/n went to the door to start gathering the ingredients.
