Author's note: meet me at the end of the chapter. Reading novels is more important than talking to the author.

Author's pov...

"Congratulations. We are getting married Ansh" and she hugged him.

It took seconds to Saransh to realise what she said. He looked at his mother and understood the meaning of defeat in her eyes.

Then he looked at his father who was happy with this decision of his.

When Saransh didn't hugged her back Ruby came out of hug.

She held his hands and brought him to the dinning table.

"Son. We fixed your marriage with Ruby. What's the best way to make this friendship in relationship. Now greet your father in law" his dad said and Saransh looked at his father without any emotion.

"I can't marry Ruby-.."

"Carefully with your words Saransh" his dad warned him.

"No you should be careful with your words dad. I'm very well aware of my words. I don't love Ruby and I'll not ruin her life marrying her" Saransh said gritting his teeth angrily trying to control his outburst.

"Oh so it's about love? Then you must have find someone for you no?" His dad said with venom filled voice.

Saransh and his dad never get along easily. Somewhere Saransh is upsat with his dad for not being the father figure for him. He was always busy in his business and never gave time to Saransh.

Though he provided him everything he needed and maybe more than that but that's not what Saransh wanted from him. He never wanted expensive gifts. Expensive toys. Expensive clothes. The only thing he wanted in his life from his dad is his time.

He wanted his dad to play with him. To help him in his studies. To held his hands when he was afraid in darkness. To teach him swimming. To be present in his achievements to praise his hardwork. To pat his back and say 'you did good job son' when he failed in something.

he was never there for him.

But he never denied his any order. He always respected him. Always understood about his situation. But not this time

"I do. And even if I haven't i wouldn't have married Ruby"

"So who's that gold digger-.."

"Carefully dad"

"What else should I call her when I clearly knew that she must be behind your money"

"You don't know her so you don't have any right to say anything about her" he said to his dad angrily and walked away from their. When he reached the stairs he stopped and turned to Ruby "I'm not marrying you and that's final".

He left from there angrily and barged in his room leaving his door to fly open and close few times due to pressure.

Saransh was pacing left and right in his room angrily when he heard the voice of a person whose face he doesn't even want to look at right now.

"Is it Meera?"

He turned to her and stare for sometime but choose to ignore her.

"So I was right. It is Meera."

"Just go away Ruby. I'm not in a mood to argue again" Saransh said silently and sat on his bed keeping his thumb and index finger on the tip of corner of his inner eyes.

"You know Saransh, seven years ago I was only sixteen when I saw you for the first time in a business party" Ruby entered in his room and stood some steps away from him. Saransh was silently listening to her.
