Ten days later...

Saransh's opened the door helping Meera step out of the car. She put her feets down and stood up with the help of Saransh. She was looking fresh and vibrant though little bit weak but much better now.

Atleast lot better than when drips and machines were attached to her body.

She got discharged today.

Saransh helped Meera to the front door, where her mom and father in law performed her aarti. Her mom and dad were happy to see their daughter healthy and happy.

Stepping inside, Meera scanned her home. It was as beautiful as when she stepped in this home when she was four year old.

That time no one knew that she will be the daughter in law of this family.

Remembering her moments in this house, her eyes were now glistening.

She was busy admiring her home when she heard something which made the ground slip away from her feets.

"Mummmaaaaaa"

Meera followed the source of voice and her eyes got stuck on the 6 year old Aarvi standing on the top of stairs.

Before Meera could process anything, aarvi came running to her with arms spread and face adorned with happiness.

Saransh knew this will leave a great impact on Meera and that's why he came and stood beside Meera so she don't loose her balance when Aarvi will jump on Meera.

But to his surprise, Aarvi came running to Meera and hugged her legs tightly.

She didn't even reached till her waist.

"Finally mummmaaaaaa, you are here. I'm so happy" Aarvi said still hugging her. She was looking up at Meera who was still in shock.

Well the word she Heard from this cute little creature was not less than a nectar.

Meera looked at Saransh and before she could say anything Saransh replied,

"See, i kept my promise. Aarvi got her own home and her own happy family. And now her Mumma too"

Her eyes filled with lots of emotions, but tears were betraying her boiling emotions. A big fat tear drop escaped her eyes and she crouched down to her level.

Supporting herself on her knees, Meera looked at Aarvi. Her doe eyes were sparkling like morning sunlight.

"W-what did you said. S-say a-again" Meera stuttered. Not believing her ears she wants to hear this word again and again. There was a time when, once she gave up on her dream of Happy family. Then there was this little girl, who made her dream come true for few hours. And now she is standing in front of her, calling her Mumma.

"Mumma" she said again.

Aarvi clung to her tightly, her little fingers fisting in the fabric of Meera's dress. “I knew you would come, I knew you will get better one day” she whispered into her ear, her voice happy and cheerful “you know mumma, dad used to scold me so much”

Tears flowed freely now, streaking down Meera’s face as she held her daughter close to her hearing her yappings. “I’m so sorry,” she choked out, her voice barely audible. “I’m so sorry I wasn’t there. But I’m here now, and I’ll never leave again. I'll see how dad scolds my babygirl. Now”

Aarvi pulled back just enough to look up at her mother’s face, her hazel eyes wide and filled with hope. “Promise?” she asked, her voice dropping innocence.
