Loonatics Unleashed: The new Loonatics

Prologue pt. 2

From the Loonatics side of the story

It was a normal day for the Loonatics. Ace was meditating, Lexi was listening to musics, Tech was working on some type of invention, Rev was playing air hockey with himself, Slam was watching and Duck was posing in front of a mirror with a cape on. A normal, uneventful day. That is, until their comm system sounded. 

Ace opened his eyes and jumped to his feet. Sounds like the boss lady needs us. Let's go!" Everyone stopped what they were doing and took their seats around the comm system. Tech pressed the receive button, allowing a full body image of Zadavia appear before them.

"Loonatics. I have an important announcement for you all." She said.

"What's up, Zadavia?" Ace asked. "Some new bad guy trying to take over?" 

"Not this time,Ace." She said with a small grin. 

"We're finally getting a paid vacation to Acmetropolis resort!" Duck exclaimed. This made Zadavia frown.

"Not even close." Duck frowned and crossed his arms. "Earlier today, I picked up two unknown bio signatures in the city. Upon further investigation, I was quite surprised by what, or rather, who I found." Zadavia disappeared and in her place showed a live image of two young women walking in the city. What caught the teams attention was that both women had a pair of animal ears atop their heads.

"Woah!" Lexi said. "Who are they?"

"Their names are Sam and Mari. Two young women from a different dimension who I have recruited to join the team. I believe they will a great asset to the Loonatics." Zadavia explained.

"I'm all for growing this little family of ours, Zadavia." Ace said. "But we're gonna need a little more. How are they from a different dimension? And what's up with the ears? Last I checked, humans don't have fuzzy ears sitting on the top of their heads."

"The girls got here via the device in the red-headed girls, Sam, hand. It was created with the purpose of allowing them to travel to any chosen dimension, it sent them here on accident and is no longer working. I concluded that the leftover radiation from the meteor that gave you all your powers as well as the radiation from their device is what gave the girls their ears as well as possible super powers. Tech, that is where we will require your expertise."

"What can I help with, Zadavia?" The coyote answered.

"My scanners were only able to pick up that they had radiation in their systems, but I was unable to determine what type of powers they have due to the distance. They will need to be tested and trained to use their abilities. I'm counting on you all to help guide and welcome them."

"You can count on us!" Lexi said as she stood up. "It'll be nice having more girls around."

"Thank you all. They are currently headed to headquarters. I look forward to seeing how you all will help them grow. Zadavia out." And with that, she was gone.  

"This is so awesome!" Lexi said as she did a backflip out of her chair. "I'm gonna have two new girl friends to hang out with!"

"You can hang out with them after I take them on a date. Two lovely ladies like that deserve to be next to a dashing hero like myself." Duck said as he slicked back the feathers on his head. Everyone rolled their eyes. 

"Duck, you could be the last living male on the planet and I doubt either of them would go out with you." Lexi smirked as Duck glared at her. 

"Oh yeah? We'll just see when they get here." Ace tuned them both out and turned to Tech. 

"Two new heroes who also invent. Looks like you might have some competition there, Tech." Ace joked. Tech smirked and crossed his arms as they walked to his lab.

"I'll admit that I am intrigued that they created a device that travels through dimensions. It'll be nice to have others around that like to invent like I do. I might pick their brains a bit while we run the tests." He chuckled as they entered the lab. "What are your thoughts, Ace?"

Ace hummed as he thought for a moment. "I'll admit, I've gotten used to the dynamic we got going on here. But having two new members, especially two cute girls, could be a nice surprise."

"Don't let Lexi hear you say that."

"But am I wrong?" Ace teased, Tech just rolled his eyes but grinned. 

"Just let me know when they get here." Tech said as he began typing away on his computer.

"No problem." Ace replied as he walked out and back to the main area.

"According to this message from Zadavia, their about five minutes away." Lexi said as she looked at her phone. "I'm so excited!"

"Samehere.Havingtwonewteammatesisgonnabesweetsweetsweet!" Rev said as he ran around and cleaned the room. Slam just watched him clean but was equally excited. Then a bell went off, letting them know that the girls were on the elevator and head up. Tech emerged from his lab. Everyone stood around the door and waited. Then the elevator stopped on their floor, behind the door were the two newest Loonatics.
