Loonatics HQ

It was another day at HQ, Slam was eating watermelons, Duck was on the phone trying to order a superhero cape and boots, Tech was meditating on Ace's floating disk, and Mari was reading a book while listening to music. Between Slam's messy eating and Duck getting frustrated with his phone, she didn't know which was more annoying.

"He's so into the meditating thing." Lexi said as she and Ace observed Tech.

"Ever since I showed him how to do it, nothing disturbs him." Ace replied.

"Hello! Hello!" Duck shouted into the phone. His call had been disconnected due to loss of signal. "This is ridiculous! It's the 28th century! We've got jetpacks, hovercrafts, computer-synchronized latte makers, but I still can't get a good cell signal on the 134th floor!" The ringer on Duck's phone kept going off, pulling Tech from his meditation.

"Duck, shut that ringer off." Tech groaned.

"At least the ringer work, the rest is junk." Duck replied.

"Have some respect. I'm clearing my mind here." Tech said as the disk he was on stopped floating.

"Hmph! Please, you would need a hazmat team to clear the junk out of your head, Tech." Duck sneered.

"Where as you would only need a tissue for yours." Mari shot at him as she put her book down. Duck glared at her when his phone rang again.

"Hello? Hello? Aah! I've had it! No more technology for me. From now on, I do everything the old fashion way."

"Yeah, right." Lexi said. "No phone, no EMP music blaster 5000."

"And no high tech weapons." Ace added.

"Who needs 'em. My bare hands are lethal weapons."Duck said, displaying one of his flaming eggs.

"You couldn't go one low-tech week without high-tech stuff." Tech said.

"Oh really? Well I'm not you, mr. techno geek!" Duck sneered, but shrunk down as Tech stood to his full height.

"Make you a bet. If you can go one week, I'll buy you that new cape myself. And if not, you buy it for me."

"I want the knee-high matching boots!" Duck added.

"No problem."

"You're on mister!" The two shook on it, Tech smirked.

"Oh, by the way. I'm a thirteen, wide." Duck only glared at the coyote.

Mari, on the other hand, was intrigued. This would be interesting. Her money was on Tech winning. It was a no brainer.

Later at the comm station, Zadavia appeared before the whole team in her hologram form.

"Gather round, Loonatics. We have a major crisis, besides Duck's new costume request. Begin the holographic imaging feed."

Tech did as she asked, bringing up a screen to display footage of a woman wearing an all black outfit with red goggles.

"Moments ago, someone calling herself Black Velvet stole the Acme Doppler Series Five Radar system." Zadavia explained.

"That system directs all air and space traffic in and out of Acmetropolis." Tech said.

"So much for our girls trip to Acmepolco." Lexi said.

"I'm afraid it gets worse." Zadavia continued. "They've also taken the Acme Super Computer."

"That's the most advanced system on the planet. " Tech said. "I should know, I built it for them."
