At breakfast, the team gathered around the table, chatting animatedly about Bucky's return. Tony Stark, ever the ringleader, was regaling everyone with tales of their past adventures.

"So, Barnes is finally gracing us with his presence," Tony announced with a smirk. "I hope he's ready for a proper Stark welcome."

Steve Rogers chuckled, shaking his head. "Ease up on him, Tony. He's had a rough mission. Let's give him some time to settle in."

Natasha Romanoff, sitting beside Y/N, looked particularly animated. She shared a quick glance with Y/N, her eyes twinkling with anticipation. "It'll be good to see him again," she said, her voice filled with genuine warmth.

Y/N nodded, smiling back at Natasha. They had heard plenty about Bucky from the team and were looking forward to finally meeting him in person.

news of Bucky Barnes' arrival spread. Bucky, the legendary Winter Soldier and one of Steve Rogers' oldest friends, was back from a mission and his presence always brought a mixture of nostalgia and camaraderie to the team.

Y/N was in the kitchen with Wanda, the two of them preparing a light lunch while chatting about recent events. The door to the common area opened, and in walked Bucky, accompanied by Natasha, who seemed particularly animated.

"Bucky!" Y/N greeted with a smile, setting down a knife and approaching him for a hug. "It's great to see you."

Bucky returned the hug warmly. "Good to see you too, Y/N. How are you holding up?"

"I'm doing better," Y/N replied, glancing over at Natasha. "Taking it one day at a time."

Natasha smiled at Y/N, her eyes filled with affection. "Y/N's been making great progress. We're all really proud of them."

Wanda stepped forward, offering Bucky a cup of coffee. "Welcome back, Bucky. How was the mission?"

Bucky took the cup, nodding his thanks. "It was... interesting, to say the least. But it's good to be back."

As they continued to chat, Natasha and Bucky shared a few inside jokes and reminisced about past missions, their bond evident to everyone in the room. Y/N watched them, a slight pang of jealousy and confusion stirring in their chest but quickly brushed it aside. After all, Natasha had many friends, and Bucky was a significant part of her past.

After a while, Natasha and Bucky excused themselves, mentioning something about catching up and heading to the training room. Y/N and Wanda stayed behind in the kitchen, finishing their preparations.

Wanda noticed Y/N's distracted demeanor and gave them a gentle nudge. "You okay?"

Y/N sighed, trying to mask their unease with a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just... it's good to see Natasha so happy."

Wanda nodded, her eyes understanding. "Natasha and Bucky have a lot of history. It's natural for them to catch up like this. But don't worry, Y/N, you're just as important to her."

Y/N nodded, appreciating Wanda's words but still feeling a nagging doubt. They decided to distract themselves by focusing on their conversation with Wanda, chatting about their favorite books and movies.

After lunch, Y/N couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Curiosity and a touch of concern prompted them to seek out Natasha. They made their way to the training room, expecting to find Natasha and Bucky engaged in a sparring match or deep conversation.

As Y/N approached the training room, they heard muffled voices and laughter. When they pushed the door open slightly, the sight that greeted them froze them in their tracks. Natasha and Bucky were locked in a passionate kiss, completely absorbed in each other.

Y/N's heart shattered, the pain of betrayal crashing over them like a tidal wave. They stepped back, the sound of their own heartbeat pounding in their ears. Not wanting to be seen, they quietly closed the door and stumbled away, their mind a whirlwind of emotions.

Blinded by tears, Y/N made their way back to their room, each step feeling heavier than the last. Once inside, they collapsed onto their bed, the full weight of what they had witnessed sinking in. The person they loved, the person they had trusted, was kissing someone else. The betrayal cut deep, leaving Y/N feeling more alone than ever.

Meanwhile, in the training room, Natasha pulled away from Bucky, her breath coming in ragged gasps. She looked into his eyes, seeing her own confusion mirrored there.

"Bucky, we shouldn't have done that," she said, her voice trembling.

Bucky nodded, running a hand through his hair. "I know. It just... happened."

Natasha took a step back, her mind racing. "I need to talk to Y/N. I need to explain."

Without waiting for Bucky's response, she rushed out of the training room, her heart heavy with dread. She headed straight for Y/N's room, knocking urgently on the door.

"Y/N, please, let me in. We need to talk."

There was no response. Natasha knocked again, her voice breaking. "Y/N, please. I need to explain."

Inside the room, Y/N sat with their back against the door, tears streaming down their face. They couldn't bear to face Natasha, couldn't bear to hear whatever excuse she might offer.

"Go away, Natasha," Y/N choked out, their voice thick with emotion. "I don't want to hear it."

Natasha's heart broke at the sound of Y/N's pain. She pressed her forehead against the door, feeling utterly helpless. "I'm so sorry, Y/N. Please, just let me explain."

But Y/N couldn't bring themselves to open the door. The hurt was too raw, too overwhelming. They needed time to process what they had seen, to figure out how to move forward.

"Just leave me alone, Natasha," Y/N whispered, their voice barely audible.

Natasha lingered for a moment longer, her heart aching with regret. Finally, she turned away, knowing that she had lost Y/N's trust.
