This song to moving on!

Aashna's pov:

It's been a week since the wedding news and my life is totally back on track.

I don't skip my walks, or my meals, or my gym sessions or even any of my yoga or swimming or table tennis or cycling sessions. In fact, I'm trying to keep myself as occupied as I can physically.

The more I work, the more at peace I feel. The more I exercise, the more like myself I feel. But that constant blurred self discussion about him in the back of my mind does not go away.

No matter whatever work I'm into, I always dote upon the countless unconquered possibilities. The infinite hypothetical situations which could've led me to marry him.

I was at work, inside my office, when my assistant came in and handed me a box parcel.

I unpacked it and my eyes sparkled to see a wedding card box.

It has to be that.

So I opened it and....there it was...list of all the functions, all the family names, names of the bride and groom and their parents.

Wow.

I'm not that excited to attend their wedding but I have this unsaid desire to be able to see Shubman again.

Maybe seeing him in a wedding sherwani will help my dreams at night.

My parents are constantly bugging me for getting married, sending me pictures of boys that I leave on read or not even that.

There are a few boys who, tbh looked a lot better than Shubman....but the heart wants what it wants ig?

Right now, I have to focus on how to look like the hot ex. But...maybe it's a formality. So I'm thinking of texting Shubman to check if he really wants me there without being considerate at all.

Text:

Hey shubman.

He texts back in literally 1 minute.

Hey Aashna.
How are you?

I'm fine, thanks.
I just wanted to confirm that did you by any chance send me your wedding invite by mistake?

Why would you think that?
I mean, no...I'd love it if you can come.

Really?👀

Yeah, we'll get a chance to catch up as well, been a while hasn't it?

You're right! Thank you, I'll be attending your wedding.

🥰

Uhh, why did he have to send such a misleading emoji?

Anyways, so I'll be going.

The wedding is at the end of this month. I'm definitely putting my prettiest lehengas to alter and iron.

Show him what he'll be missing out.

My phone rings and I pick up without looking at the caller id.

"Aa rhi he na tu??" Shahneel di's voice came out as a boom.

"Oh my god di, you scared me!" I said touching my chest.
