"I have two kinds of problems,
the urgent and the important.
What is important is seldom urgent
and what is urgent is seldom important."
~ Dwight D. EisenhowerRemember your last exam season ? You were under high pressure and everything felt to be done immediately. You crammed tons of notes, pulled an all nighter and still scored less than what you expected ? This happens when you lack prioritisation.
The urgency trap tricks us into believing that all tasks are equally urgent and must be dealt with immediately. This false perception makes us prioritize tasks based on their urgency rather than their actual significance, leading to reactive rather than proactive behavior. Consequently, we find ourselves constantly rushing to meet deadlines instead of strategically managing our work.
The Eisenhower Matrix is a task management tool that helps you organize and prioritize tasks by urgency and importance.
Eisenhower Box is a square divided into four quarters, each of them containing a specific set of tasks that needs to be done now or later, delegated or delete depending upon its urgency and importance.
