What is life about?Needs.We all have needs and a human instinct to satisfy them.We are selfish because sometimes it doesn't matter who is there,the point is that they're there.
And you just want to take away what you need at the moment.

Lover came out of the hospital and got into her car,she's always strong in front of her mom,she doesn't allow herself to be overwhelmed by her feelings.
But at the moment she puts her hand on the steering wheel,it's over and the strong walls around her collapse,she breaks down and doesn't fight back the tears she can't handle .No one knows about her mom's cancer except Midnights.It started like 2,5 years ago before the accident with Tom but at first she didn't tell her to protect Lover from any suffering.When she started to feel worse and she got weaker it was pretty obvious that she's sick.Breast cancer.
She was able to get an operation but she still has to go to the hospital sometimes because of the chemotherapy.These are the worst days,it's painful and hard to face them,it has a terrible effect on both of their mental health.But at least they have each other.
Lover has the hope that she'll be healthy again.

The real question.Her mom is the first thing in her life which is really her.

At this point she wanted someone's company and the first contact in her phone was "Reppy🖤"
She drove her car to the girl's house to see her and talk to her.

Reputation had some time before 1989 came back so she decided to take a hot shower.That's what she does when she has to think about really deep things,therefore she stood under the hot water.So hot that it almost burned her skin.
When you stand in the shower,your tears cannot be seen or heard
You learn this life lesson quickly if you have an alcoholic dad who yells at you for everything,you can't have real feelings and emotions in a family like this.

Lover texted her when she arrived but she didn't see them.

She just walked in and entered Reputation's room but she wasn't there and Rep only heard a soft voice from outside so she thought it was 1989.

She picked up the clothes from beside her and went closer to give them to the girl.
But she wished she didn't have to.

She left the bathroom but didn't close the door completely,there was a small gap where she could see her getting dressed

Lover rang the bell but Midnights was too lazy to get up from the couch so she just texted her

Lover picked up the remote control to turn on the TV but Midnights took it out of her hand.

She wanted to grab it from her hand but she was stronger and taller so she raised her hand so that Lover couldn't reach the remote control
She didn't notice but somehow she ended up falling into Midnights'a lap
