I was rudely awoken the next morning by my uncle barging into my room with a worried expression on his face.

"Raven, are you alright, what happened last night! Guards just came to my door asking about someone like you!" He explained quickly.

"What!" I shot up so I was sitting on my bed. It took a moment for everything to sink in since I was still groggy, but after taking a minute I groaned and flopped back down onto my bed.

"It's the stupid prince! He somehow managed to catch me last night and I got myself into a difficult situation. Apparently worse then I thought. So I'm guessing he wants me dead then." I scoffed.

"Actually, the opposite, he wants you alive. He specifically told the guards not to kill you." My uncle explained.

"That's strange, either way I can't just go walking around town carefree now, I need to be careful. I won't necessarily need a disguise since the only thing that was showing was my eyes." I said annoyed.

"Hun I don't mean to sound harsh here, but you have crystal blue eyes. Your going to need to wear contacts, your the only girl in the village with that eye color." My uncle informed me.

"Damn it, your right, I completely forgot about my eyes. Wait, if the prince had been paying close enough attention and noticed my eyes. Someone could recognize me and rat me out. Now I really have to be careful." I sighed.

"I have some contacts that you can use if you'd like." I heard Aria say, I hadn't even realized she had entered my room.

"How long have you been standing there?" I asked.

"Long enough to know that you got yourself into a world of trouble, I also have some information from the guards I wanted to tell you so your prepared incase they talk to you at some point, their asking everyone in town questions." She said.

"Alright, what did you hear." I pressed, desperate for some answers.

"Ok, so basically the only description of you is that you have brown hair and blue eyes, which is over half the girls in village. They didn't specify what color blue, but at least your safer then you previously thought. They didn't even mention the fact that you had an accent." She explained to me and my uncle.

"Pretty sure the prince wasn't paying that much attention to my voice Aria, and I tried to speak as little as possible so I could hide the accent, otherwise it would've been a dead giveaway. There's only a very small handful of people in the village who actually have a natural British accent." I said.

"What about your wings? Are you going to hide them permanently now?" My uncle said suddenly.

"Until all this dies down and it's safe for me to have them out again, yes, even if I only ever have them out at home anyways. It's to risky as of right now." I sighed as I got up from my bed. "I'm going to get ready, and then I'm staying home all day to train. I don't think it's safe for me to go into town right now."

I watched as my uncle and Aria left the room so I could get ready. I changed into a simple black crop top with a long sleeved shoulder strap on my left shoulder that crossed over my chest and hooked in the back. A small chocker held it gently around my throat. I was wearing black cargo pants and tennis shoes. It was a comfortable yet flexible outfit.

Once I was dressed I grabbed some breakfast before heading out to the field to train. My uncles training center and dorms for her students was further back into the forest so it was hidden from the watching eyes of the palace. This way we could train in peace and quiet. My uncles house was just outside the forest. He lived close to town, but not directly in the village since he owned a farm. A lot of his students loved to help him and auntie out since he was kind enough to take them in. He was like a father figure to many of the kids here. Many of us called papa or uncle which always brought a smile to his face since he was never able to have children of his own after an incident left my aunt unable to bear children.

Once I made it to the field i went to the center and sat down for a few minutes, I closed my eyes and listened to the sounds that surrounded me. I always took a moment before training to just sit and meditate, I found out that it helped my relax. I focused in on the sound of the birds chirping as they flew from tree to tree. I listened to the sound of the grass gently blowing in the cool breeze that tickled my face.
I could smell the wild flowers that were dotted around the clearing and I could feel the cool grass underneath me.

After taking a few minutes to meditate I stood back up and started practicing a few fighting techniques. I worked on my kicks, punches, and blocking skills. I practiced theses for about an hour before before moving onto weapon tactics. I practiced with my dagger and bow and arrow.

For the rest of the day I practiced everything I knew, staring from what I learned the first day I started under my uncle to current day. Aria even practiced with me for a bit, we tried some hand to hand combat and weapon fighting. We trained together for about an hour and a half before she called it quits. I saw her walked back to the dorms before I went back to training, by the end of the day I was exhausted. I walked out of the field and back to the dorms. I grabbed some dinner from the canteen before I went back to my room and collapsed onto my bed, I didn't even bother changing my clothes before I had passed out into a peaceful sleep.

The next day was close to the same routine. I got up and got dressed. I once again wore a black crop top with beige pants and a black belt, I was wearing black fingerless gloves that reached up to my elbows. I grabbed some breakfast and trained again all morning until my uncle called for me.

"What did you need uncle?" I asked once I had reached the farm.

"I know it's short notice, and I completely understand if you don't want to because of your current situation. But do you think you could run into town tomorrow and grab a few things for me and your aunt. I've asked the other students but their all busy tomorrow." My uncle asked.

"I'll do it, I should be ok, the only thing they know about me is that I have brown hair and blue eyes. So I should blend in pretty well." I replied with a smile.

"Thank you so much hun, I'll have a list for you in the morning, it's not very big, I just wrote them down so ya know what to look for." He said.

"It's no problem uncle, I'm going to go hang out with Aria for a bit since I promised her I would, but I'll talk to you later." I laughed.

"Alright, go have fun kiddo." My uncle said.

I waved bye to my uncle and ran back to the dorms. I met up with Aria and we spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out and goofing off. At the end of the night she insisted on having a sleepover at my dorm. So I pulled my couch out into a bed so she had some place comfortable to sleep on. We listened to music and talked about random stuff we would never dare say in public. It was going well until Aria mentioned something.

"If I'm being honest, I would totally give myself over to prince Alexander." She swooned while I gave her a disgusted look. "He's so dreamy, I'm surprised he hasn't married yet."

"Aria, remember, I despise the royal family, good looking or not, they killed my parents." I scoffed.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to bring up a touchy subject." Aria apologized.

"It's alright, just don't do it again" I said not finding it in me to stay mad at her. "We should get some sleep, I've got to run into town tomorrow and grab a few thing for uncle."

"Girl you better be careful." Aria warned me. "I mean it, there are guards everywhere looking for you."

"I know, I'll be very careful, I promise." I said giving her a quick goodnight hug. "Thanks for convincing me to let you stay over, I needed this way more then I thought I did."

"It's what best friends are for ya goof, now get some sleep. Your gonna need it for going into town tomorrow." Aria joked.

"Goodnight." I called to her as I walked to my bedroom.

"Goodnight!" She called back.

I walked to my room and got under my covers, I took a moment to just breathe and tell myself that tomorrow was going to be ok. After convincing myself I drifted off to sleep.
