"Try some singing, Kanzaki...!"

In one particular karaoke room, a group of Class Bs were having a great time performing, pleasantly bantering with each other. Shibata shouted out from where he had been singing to the sitting Kanzaki, who had been looking at everything going on with an impassive expression.

Having been called out, he let out a sigh. "I told you already, I'm not good at singing."

"Just once is fine, isn't it? We're not gonna laugh at you or anything if you're terrible at it."

"You say that, but your expression says otherwise. You'll definitely laugh once you find out that I am, in fact, terrible at it."

"Ahaha, I'm caught, huh?"

Kanzaki shook his head.

He didn't particularly like the act of karaoke. He didn't hate it either, however. The reason he agreed to join them was to strengthen his relationship as classmates.

He glanced to the side.

A girl with two ponytails, sharp slanted eyes, and a lollipop in her mouth had an even worse expression than him. Himeno Yuki. Only she was sitting close to him.

She immediately noticed the attention she was receiving from him and turned around in an offended manner. "What? Is something on my face?"

"No," he answered immediately. "I was just wondering why you came here. You don't look like you like it too much."

She frowned. "You're the one to talk."

Kanzaki faintly smiled. "It's for the benefit of the class, and I don't hate it either way."

Himeno shifted her attention. "Is that so? ...Well, as for me, I'm just going with the flow. Our classmates are too clingy for my liking."

There was a hint of annoyance in her voice.

Kanzaki looked at the classmates in question.

"Too clingy, huh...? I guess you can see it that way."

"How do you see it?"

"Friendly and outgoing."

"You didn't add 'too' in there."

He chuckled, not answering.

He wasn't good at communicating, but not bad either. His classmates didn't think anything of it. He wasn't being mocked. Knowing how decent they were, he recalled Kuroshio's proposal the other day.

Ichinose is indeed too kind... he thought.

Kanzaki vaguely sensed a problem with that, he simply couldn't get a clear picture of what exactly.

Kuroshio's words rang through his head.

"Kanzaki, your class relies heavily on class unity. I admire that. The seemingly perfect A class still fights over who should lead, and Ryuen's class is just coerced with a dictator, though that's in a way not a bad thing. My class isn't even close to being unified. But not you guys."

That time they planned to meet in Kanzaki's room for a discussion regarding Class C, he accidentally encountered a "small accident" of Class C and A students that could easily be considered a scandal without careful observation. He was the one who proposed the plan to bring it to trial.

"Did you ask her first?"

Kanzaki asked so the moment he came to his room.

Kuroshio nodded lightly. "Of course. I asked for her consent, even if it was just a misunderstanding. Class A won't let an opportunity to ruin another class go by."
