Flight landed in India at 2 in the morning. I couldn't believe I was in India after all those years of guilt. I had already booked myself a room in hotel. I checked in and freshed up. I tried to sleep but I couldn't. I changed sides on bed for fifth time in a row I just was not able to sleep..!! I sat up in frustration, it was already 6 in the morning.

I went out for walk. It didn't took me much time to reach Howrah Bridge. I stepped down on ghats of Hoogli River. I sat there embracing the calmness of water, watching people doing there early morning prayers. Cool breeze of wind softly hits my face making me feel all those memories with my mother. All of my childhood memories flashed in front of eyes.
I snapped out of those memories when I heard quarrel of little children on banks.

I stood up and went back to hotel. I showered and changed into a decent pastel blue kurta and pajama. I checked my watch it was past nine.
I'd have already decided to visit Dakshileshwar Temple where I used to go with my mum as a child.

I reached the temple in about 15 mins. I bought some flowers and sweets for the offering. After doing my prayers I distributed the sweets among the children on ghat. I stood there watching the river again. Suddenly there was lots of chattering in the air.
I turned around to look, there I saw kids running to a girl who was standing there giving them chocolates, she was not visible properly. I walked over the direction of kids. I stood there watching her with my hands at back.

She looked like an angel in pink floral  anarkali suit. Her dark brown wavy hair cascaded down her back. Her smile felt so warm in chilly weather of Kolkata. Kids surrounded her completely as she gave them chocolate and sweets.

"Didi aap iss baar kya laai hai?" a tiny girl around age of 6 asked her. She pulled her cheeks and kneeled a little.

Her smile radiating love and kindness. "Aapne kaha tha na, agli baar chocolates laana. To maine aapke chocolates hi laye hai" the little girl giggled and hugged her.

Ofcourse after all those years hearing Hindi and understanding was little different but I got the context.

The children danced around her happily. One of the kid took her sunglasses and ran, she ran too. Her traditional attire twirled as she ran.

I.. I.. could not take my eyes off her. Her presence soothed the burning sensation in my heart. For a minute, I simply was not able to breathe. She distributed sweets to everyone in ghat..

It felt the world faded and she is the only colour in my life. She walked through the crowd of kid upto me and forwarded the box of sweets.

As I got a closer look of her...she had honey brown eyes and freckles. Sunlight teasing her eyes every other second. I stood tall 6'5 in front of her. She might be 5'6.

A voice in my head said.

"Jaldi lijiye.." (take it fast) she said with a small voice and looked at calm water of the ganga ghat.

I took a piece of Kaju katli she had. She turned and went back to were she was  There was a man standing there, waiting for her probably, he was not clearly visible. I stood there watching her whole time. Her aura screamed the 𝑬𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍.

I wonder who she is, will we ever meet again?

Questions filled up my mind. I spent a little more time there and left for hotel after an hour. My whole spent with her thoughts every next second.

Her smile. Her coffee brown eyes. Long hairs. Cute freckles on cheek bone. How she blushed. How hazel-ly her eyes looked when sun rays fell on them. A bundle of reverie. A complete ELYSIAN.

She was questioning my existence for real, if I'm sleeping and dreaming of an angel OR she is real. Such an angel.
