CHAPTER 4

Melody

Isang buong linggo ko inulit ang daily routine ko. School, work, school, work, school, work.

Kulang nalang ay halos mamuti na ang mga buhok ko sa sunod sunod na ginagawa namin, lalo na sa school. Mahirap talaga ang sinasabi nilang working student lalo na ganito ang work. Literal na puyat ang kalaban mo.

Pero sa trabaho nga ba ako napupuyat? O sa ilang gabing pag-iisip kay Win?

Simula noong ihatid niya ako dito sa Pampanga, wala na akong narinig tungkol sakaniya. Hindi ko din siya nakita noong nag perform ako sa theatre noong sunday, kaya nalulungkot ako.

He told me that he is my no. 1 fan. What is his purpose? Dahil bukod sa nagulo ang utak ko, nalilito na din ang puso ko. Nasasaktan ako, I admit. After that day I expected too much, and in return I got disappointment.

Today is friday, and as expected pupunta ako kay mom. But I just received a phone call from my aunt that my mom fled with her in U. S. to follow my Dad to fix some business matter.

I am upset. Nagsabay-sabay ang mga bagay na nakakapag-frustrate saakin. Mom didn't bother to inform me, No traces of Win, and a stressful school and work.

So I decided to take LOWA, or a week leave in my job. Para mapahinga ang utak ko, at para hindi rin dumagdag pa ang stress. At least next week tapos na itong mga school works, makaka pag focus na ako sa work ko.

Friday today and we have no class, siguro ay dadalawin ko nalang si Daph sakanila. Ang tagal na din since the last time I saw her. She's been busy modeling, and taking care of Dorelle. Pero ngayon sigurado ako free time niya.

Paano ko nalaman? Well I trust my instincts.

I prepared hotcakes with strawberry and chocolate syrup with me to bring to their condo.

I wore my simplest outfit, and curl my straight hair a little bit.

Umalis ako nang bahay mga bandang 2pm. It took me half an hour to reach Daph's condo.

"Hello Daph!"

[Yes my pretty friendship? Soreyy the shower is on, nasa cr ako rn, do you need something?]

"Nasa tapat ako ng condo mo. Open ko na door mo ah?"

[Fudge, biglaan yata? Open mo na, sure sure nasa living room si Dorelle.]

Pinindot ko ang passcode ng condo ni Daph. When the door got open I saw a familiar figure exited the elevator. And I can't be wrong. It's Win. What is he doing here?

I was about to approach him when Dorelle suddenly grab my hands.

"Tita Ody, did you bring my favorite?" the little kid wined.

Sumilip muli ako sa pintuan pero wala na siya. Wala na si Win.

Hindi ko alam kung guni-guni or baka totoo na siya ang nakita ko. I don't want to sound desperate pero parang gusto ko tanungin mamaya sa lobby kung resident ba si Win dito.

Pumasok ako sa condo ni Daph, still bothered for what I saw earlier. Pero I should shove that thoughts. If he wants to show up right in front of my face, gagawin niya. Pero hindi niya ginawa. And bakit ba ako nag eexpect? Did I just expected na mare reciprocate niya ang feelings ko sakaniya? I'm just his fan after all.

"Tita Ody, you don't answer me huhu"

Nabalik ako sa ulirat ng mapansin na kaunti nalang iiyak na si Dorelle sa harap ko. I hugged her tight.

"Dala ko ang favorite mo. With chocolate and strawberry syrup"

Ngumiti naman ang bata at dali daling kinuha ang paper bag. "Yeyyyy"
