It's barely three o'clock in the morning when my window creaks open, and I rub my eyes to see a tall figure climbing through it. I sit up gasping, turning on my night light.  "What is wrong with you?" I snap. My brother, 5'8 and way too clever for the age of 15, closes my window behind him with a grin.

"Couldn't come in through mine-I locked it earlier" he shrugs.

"Absolutely not-" I stand and block the doorway, making a frown identical to dads appear on his face. "Not until you tell me why you were out until-three am" He sighs, pushing me away from the door with one hand, causing me to literally fall on the floor.

"I'll give you twenty later at school-love you" he smirks before closing the door behind him.

"what a ratchet" I grumbled getting into the comfy covers of my bed.

Of course he snuck behind mom and dad's back, since dad grounded him for breaking a poor girls heart last week. I laughed at the thought, remembering how dad made him write a letter to her and give her flowers. He obviously didn't want to, but dad made sure of it.

I don't remember when I fall asleep but I do eventually.

"WAKE UP" mom yells. "Dario come wake up your daughter she's not awakening" she calls out. I sit up quickly, rubbing my eyes before dad can pour a bucket of cold water over my head.

"Mom please-" I groan.

"Mom nothing, it's your first day of school" she says firmly. I look over at my clock, noticing it's only six in the morning.

She leaves my room with a final word and I get ready.

"Perfect" I smile at my reflection applying lip gloss.

I ran downstairs, slipping a bagel into my bag

I ran downstairs, slipping a bagel into my bag. Dad gives me a plain look, the judging type."Seriously Luciana?" I shrug. "I'm not that hungry anyways"  He sighs, pressing a twenty dollar bill into my chest before walking away and saying over his shoulder. "Buy lunch today-i'll check"

God I didn't need to be this spoiled. I could handle eating one simple bagel and not buying the school's fancy lunch. I stuff the bill into my backpack as I slide it on, popping my head in mom's office.

"Have a good day love" she smiles. "You too mom" I peck her cheek and leave out the door before I get any more excuses to make myself late at Brewster prep.

Did I forget to mention my father owned the school?

I lean my head against my hand, paying attention to what Mrs.Hodgson is saying. "Please take notes on the following" she speaks in her british accent, making me want to giggle. I take out my pens, alining them perfectly by color in front of my paper.
