                                                                 ~~~~~~ A WEEK LATER~~~~~~~
"HEY GIRLY" Rebecca's voice is loud on the phone, and I place it on my dresser as I study myself in the mirror."Hey Bec what's up?" I ask.
"I was wondering....do you wanna do this super trendy photoshoot with me?" she asks. I pause, raising a brow. "What do you mean?" "It's a best friend photoshoot silly"
she giggles. "We just dress up and take a bunch of photos" I grin. Why did that sound kind of ....fun? You haven't gone out in a while....do it.
"So?" her voice wavers over the speaker. "I'm in,when?"
"I'll pick you up in thirty, dress super cute. It's beach themed" she giggles. I roll my eyes, a smile invading my lips.
"Alright" I say. She hangs up,and i'm set on a mission and into my closet.
-"Lucia?" mom's voice echoes into my closet and soon the door opens. "Hey" "Hi"
"Do you need me?" I ask ,slipping on my white double strap sandals. She shakes her head, studying me. "Where are you headed?" her head cocks to the side.
"I'm doing a photoshoot with Bec" I say. "Well that's lovely" she grins. "I'm jealous"
I give her a knowing look.  "Please- you have dad remember? You guys will probably dance all afternoon" I laugh at her unamused face. "He's got work" she groans, arching her back.
"It's okay mother, you'll be alright" I say with a british accent.
My phone vibrates with a notification and I smile seeing it's Bec.
Bec:'I'm downstairs parked. Come when you're ready!'
Me: Got it. Almost!
I put my phone down and face my mirror, then point behind mom. "Will you be a dear and pass me that facial cream?" I ask with my accent again. She shakes her head rolling her eyes, passing me the moisturizer. I pump some into my hand, spreading it over my skin before doing the same with sunscreen.
"Why are you going to a beach in august?" she asks chuckling. "Because,the water is still warm and if it's not,-cold plunges are good for you" I flash her a lopsided smile, which she scowls to.
"As your mother, it is my duty to say this EVERYTIME. Don't spend too much time in the water or you'll get sick" she points out.
"Mom please-i'll be fine I promise." She nods standing up. "I'll leave you to it" I nod and she walks back downstairs.
I give myself  smile before getting my bag and rushing out the door.
When I go down to the lobby I see Rebecca's car parked, and I wave so she can see me. "Heyyy" she grins, opening the door for me. I smile and get in.
She starts the car, backing out and out of the parking lot. "Route to Sullivan Beach, 14 minutes away" the gps says loudly.
"So how's everything?" she asks. I don't have to look at her to know she's wiggling her eyebrows, referring to one person.
She glances over at me before turning her eyes back to the road. "Good" I shrug.
"What's up with that?" she chuckles mimicking my shrug. I roll my eyes.
"Everything has been fine" I lie. I know she can see right through me, but I try anyway.
"You're really bad at lying" she points out as she turns into a street. The streets are not as busy, so we're zooming by pretty fast.
