Nobody is coming to save you. Get up

Arcane's POV

Blaze and I ended up spending the entire time in our office, we couldn't leave the house unattended, Astralea is here, and even though neither one of us went downstairs to check on her, we still won't leave her alone.

God she is beautiful. Even more beautiful than when I saw her last time, and that says something. I used to have a small crush on her, well, maybe not a crush exactly, but I sure as hell was attracted to her. But for obvious reasons I couldn't make a move on her.

"What's on your mind?" Blaze asks me.

"You know exactly what. It seems wrong to keep her there." And it seems wrong to not tell her the truth.

"She has changed, she won't listen, Astralea will attack and kill us without any hesitation. If we can get her to be at least a little bit obedient, that should do the trick for her to at least listen to us. She isn't the girl we used to know, she is Luna now."

"I know, but I still fucking hate this." She has been in that cell for a few days now, how much longer do we have to keep her there? "And I'm not sure that it's even possible to get her to be obedient. If anything we are just going to piss her off more." And I have a feeling that it's going to be a grave mistake for both of us.

And I know he will never admit it, but I know sure as hell that Blaze is thinking about her too.

"We need more recruits."

"We have one new."

"I'm talking about kids, not a full on trained assassin that wants to kill us."

"She is more than we need, you know it."

"She will try to kill you as soon as she gets a chance, especially if she won't remember. I'm not sure it's worth the risk." Yeah, that's fucking bullshit, I saw how he looked at her, with hunger. Not the romantic type of hunger.

But the, 'we will rule the world' type of hunger.

He was planning all the shit I was. She is so powerful, having her under our thumb, god, we will be unstoppable.

"We sent 8 men to get her. 8 fully trained men, who had more weapons and the element of surprise on their hands, and only 2 came back alive. Alive and beat up. Are you sure you want to lose that asset? Even if it doesn't work."

"She is something isn't she. How she pretended to sleep, how her first question was why is she alive, not where she is. She figured out our technique right away. She is something. "

"She always was."

A knock on the door and Marcelo came in.

"What is it?" I asked him, giving him my full attention. Marcelo is a good fighter, but he is extremely antisocial, so if he walked all the way here to say something instead of sending a text, it must be important.

"It's about a girl. You might need another technique or a coffin."

"What are you talking about?" I knew something had to go wrong.

"She hasn't had a drop of water or food. She looks like death and I think she is close to it."

"Wait, you haven't given her water?"

"She hasn't asked, and you told us not to." He raises his hands up in a defensive mode.

Blaze and I looked at each other, this hasn't happened before. And did this idiot wait this long to tell us?
