Chapter 24

"I would say go to hell, but I never want to see you again."

ENZO'S POV

The day his mom was taken

Astra took us to the side and made sure no one was near to listen.

"I have an offer for you, a proposition so to say."

"Why do I feel like whatever it is you are going to say will change our lives."

"Because it will. But first, I need to know, are you loyal to your father."

"I will put a bullet in his head the moment I see him." Rio says and I nod. Any affection we had for our father died today.

"What about Italian mafia."

"I want out." Rio says, "I fucking hate this shit man. Our mother was taken and almost killed, our own fucking mother and they just let it happen. Our brother left because he knew he couldn't be with a woman he loves, and you are pulling your hair trying to be something you are not."

"Yeah, I fucking hate it, and now, I don't think I can look at any of them without shooting them."

"Your father and my father killed Nex." Astra speaks with an absolute lethality in her tone.

Both Rio and I freeze.

"I was trying to find his killer, and I couldn't. Then Vipers gave me an interesting piece of information, about Nex having a girlfriend. I did research. It was all a façade. Our fathers were working on a plan, multiple actually, it all started with my mother' death, and ended with them trying to not just take the bombs, but make their own. Nex got suspicious, so he asked Adron."

"I presume, Adron snitched to daddy."

"He asked, didn't realize what it ment, and that caused a chain reaction of events. That night Nex found out half of it, and the fact that they have secretly been working on making their own weapon of mass distruction. So my father had him killed. He and Alessandro both gave equal amount of money to pay of a person, who hired a group, who hired another group, that killed Nex. They tried really hard to keep it hidden."

"Why are they both still breathing then? I would expect you to kill your father right away."

"Because I have had a plan for a very long time on how to end them all, I just wrote in another clause in it. Everyone is going to fall, so my question is, do you want to stand with me, against me, or on the side?"

"I will never go against you Astra, and my loyalty to Italian mafia died today." I am loyal to her. I won't just kill for her, I will die for her.

"I am with you, as long as I get to kill my father." Rio says.

"Excellent. Then lets get ready to end everyone."

"Everyone?" I ask.

"Yes. There is a story you should know."

Three days later

I'm standing in front of the door to the meeting room. Our father and a bunch of Underbosses are all in one room.

No one knows about this meeting, well, no one besides my little devil. I have no idea where she gets all this information, but I am not the one to complain.

"Are you ready for this?" Rio asks me from behind me. I know he isn't.

Am I? I am about to walk into the room and kill my own fucking father.

"I'm fucking not." Domenico answers for me. I sent him one fucking email, just one, 'Mom is dead, Cartel killed her when father refused a trade and told them to do whatever the fuck they want to her. She cut her own throat before they assaulted her. Rio and I are going to kill dad tonight and end Italian mafia, care to join?'
