Yaze was out on patrol, enjoying the brisk autumn air as he surveyed the city from above. His Demon Wings carried him effortlessly through the sky, and he felt a sense of calm as he watched over the streets below. It was a rare moment of peace in a Hero's life.
Suddenly, his communicator buzzed to life, and he received an urgent message. A Nomu was battling Endeavor, the current No. 1 Hero, in the heart of the city. The urgency in the dispatcher's voice made it clear that this was no ordinary Nomu.
Just as he processed this information, Yaze's Combat Precognition kicked in, alerting him to an imminent threat. He turned just in time to see another Nomu, identical to the one fighting Endeavor, barreling toward him.
This Nomu, Hood, had a large, muscular build and a long neck with large vertebrae jutting out. His skin was dark purple, and his head was shrouded in darkness by a hood of skin. Underneath the hood, his face was a horrifying mix of an exposed brain, distorted red eyes, and a mouth full of long, jagged teeth.
"Master wants you back..." Hood said, his voice a disturbing blend of stutter and broken grammar.
Yaze's eyes narrowed. "Not a chance," he muttered, preparing for battle.
The High-End Nomu attacked with blinding speed, forcing Yaze to dodge and counter with his own abilities. Hood's immense strength and speed were immediately apparent as he clung to the side of a building, gripping the concrete with ease. His transforming arms elongated, swinging through the air with destructive force.
Yaze responded with a flurry of rapid movements, his Speed and Agility Enhancer Quirks allowing him to keep pace. He used his Biomorph Quirk to morph his muscles and bones, striking back with powerful blows. The Nomu's shoulder-mounted jets allowed it to fly and maneuver mid-air, making it a challenging opponent.
Despite his best efforts, Yaze found himself pushed to his limits. Hood's Super Regeneration Quirk allowed him to recover from any damage almost instantly, making the battle even more grueling. Yaze's Combat Precognition helped him avoid fatal blows, but the Nomu's relentless assault kept him on the defensive.
The Nomu's stuttering voice echoed through the chaos. "Strong... you are strong... but... not enough."
Yaze gritted his teeth, refusing to be intimidated. He had to end this quickly. Gathering his strength, he prepared to use his ultimate move, Sentinel Spear.
Tucking in his wings, Yaze began to spin rapidly, his body morphing into a streamlined, torpedo-like form. With incredible speed and power, he launched himself at the Nomu, aiming to strike with the full force of his attack.
Hood saw the incoming attack and tried to counter with his transforming arms, but Yaze's speed was too great. The Sentinel Spear struck Hood with devastating impact, sending him crashing into a nearby building. The force of the attack shattered the concrete and left a massive crater in the side of the structure.
For a moment, it seemed like the battle was over. But as the dust settled, Hood's regenerative abilities kicked in, and he began to heal from the damage. The Nomu's twisted smile reappeared. "Good... very good... but... more... need more."
As Yaze prepared for another round, he realized the true danger of this battle. If Hood was here, attacking him, it meant there were multiple High-End Nomus in play. The Hero Society was facing a serious threat.
Determined to protect the city and his fellow heroes, Yaze pushed himself beyond his limits. He needed to hold out until reinforcements arrived. The fate of the city depended on it.
Yaze knew that Nomus were created as mindless weapons, devoid of humanity. This allowed Heroes to use lethal force without hesitation. With this in mind, Yaze decided to aim directly for Hood's brain, the Nomu's weak spot.
