12:01am, Night 3Nate had just sat down when he heard a loud crash come from the vent above him. He looked up, figuring it was Foxy trying to scare him again. "Okay, I know you're up there. You're not going to scare me this time." Nate told him, ready for him to jump out. Something jumped out, but it wasn't Foxy. A puppet-like creature flew out of the vent towards Nate, it's smile menacing. Nate jumped out of his chair, backing away from the unknown thing. "What the hell are you?!" Nate exclaimed as it grew closer. "Puppet! Stop!" Freddy burst into the room. "He's a friend!" Chica yelled. The puppet halted, and Nate looked at it with confusion. It was just like an actual puppet, but it's strings weren't attached to anything. The puppet just hung there by itself, it's black eyes staring at Nate. "Sorry, Nate! I accidentally bumped the music box and it stopped!" Bonnie apologized. "It's alright, Bonnie." Nate reassured, making his way around the floating puppet and back to his desk. "So, what's the deal with that?" Nate asked, gesturing towards the magic puppet. "That's Puppet! They protect us." Freddy told him. "Ahh, got it." Nate turned back towards his laptop and flipped through the cameras a couple times before minimizing the tab to save power. A few minutes later, Foxy came tumbling out of the vent and into Nate's lap, causing them both to fall on the floor. "Ugh! Foxy, come on!" Nate exclaimed, trying to hide his laughter. He pushed the fox off of him and picked the chair back up, Foxy snickered at him with amusement. Nate sat back down and faced the animatronics, they all looked at him with smiles. "So, what do you guys do when you're bored around here?" Nate asked.
"I like to sing my special song!" Freddy exclaimed. "I like to eat!" Chica said. "I do art with paint in the storage room!" Bonnie yelled. Foxy ran up and down the hallway as fast as he could, and Nate watched as the Puppet did several spins and flips in the air. Nate nodded at all of their ideas, then he grabbed his backpack and pulled out a piece of paper and a pencil. He began to continue writing something that he been working on earlier, all the animatronics looked over his shoulder as he wrote. "What are you doing?" Freddy questioned. "Are you writing a silly story?" Bonnie asked. "No, I am writing a song." Nate replied, not taking his eyes off the paper. "A song?! You write songs?!" Chica moved in closer, Foxy and the Puppet came towards him to see what the excitement was about. "Yes, I write songs, though none of them are really good." Nate told them. "Can you sing it for us?" Freddy asked. "Yeah, Nate! Sing it for us!" Chica and Bonnie said. "It's not done yet!" Nate answered, continuing to move the pencil on the paper. The animatronics quieted down and watched as Nate worked on his music. Throughout the process Nate explained to them different things he was doing, different notes, arrangements, instruments, the animatronics listened to him with amazement. Pretty soon, it was time for Nate to go home and the animatronics to go back to their places. They said goodbye to Nate and he packed his stuff back into his backpack as AJ came into the office. "Made it another night, I see."
"Yep. I did."
Nate got up from his chair and grabbed his backpack. "See you later." AJ told him before sitting down. "Yep, see you." Nate said as he left the room. Nate got back into his car and got his keys to unlock the door, but as we went to put the key into the lock, he noticed something. The lock looked like it had been picked, there were small dents and scratches all next to the key hole. Nate looked around, but the parking lot was empty except for AJ's car. Hesitantly, he opened the car door. Nate poked his head in first, looking towards the backseat. He didn't see anyone. He walked to the back of the car and opened the trunk, there was nothing in there except a sweatshirt and an extra pair of shoes, which were both his. He closed the trunk and got into the car, shrugging it off as someone looking to pickpocket him, but realizing that he didn't have anything of interest. He turned on the engine and buckled himself in, he was about to pull out of the parking lot when he noticed a piece of paper sitting in his dashboard. Nate grabbed the paper, looking around again for anyone. He turned it over, and what it said absolutely terrified him. "It's me." The note read. "Jesus!" Nate crumpled it up and threw it into the backseat, not wanting to look at it. "No thank you." He said, pulling out of the parking lot as quick as possible. That was not what he wanted to experience after a long shift, or ever for that matter. He tried to tell himself that it was just that guy getting back at him for ticking him off, or maybe AJ pulling a prank on him because he asked about the costume. He tried to forget about it and just get home before he passed out from sleep-deprivation. When Nate got home, he placed his keys on the kitchen counter and hung his backpack on one of the chairs. He made his way to the living room and sat down on the couch, he took off his shoes and laid his head down on a pillow. He closed his eyes and attempted to fall asleep, but there was something keeping him awake. He had so many questions about Freddy's, the accidents, the history, how did it become so... lively, yet depressing at the same time. It was as if a dark cloud hung over the restaurant, and Nate couldn't help but wonder why. He knew about the Bite of '87, well vaguely, but he knew that> October 22, 2009
