Winter 2023 - February
Ana turned around to see who it was, immediately recognizing Luca before her. Emma and Jentry watched carefully. "Hey, Luca, what's up?" she said to him. "Ah, nothing much," he said. "Just wanted to see my good luck charm." He smirked at her.
Luca was drunk, and confident, and clearly feeling himself. He took a step closer with her, his eyes wandering up and down her body.
"Hey, do you wanna go out sometime, just you and me?" His hand reached around her waist. Ana was a little confused about him being so handsy. She looked past him, trying to find Luke. What's taking him so long? Ana thought to herself.
She decided to take matters into her own hands. "Um, Luca, I'm not really wanting to mess up our friendship we have. I hope you understan–"
Ana was cut off by Rutger intercepting her, creating ample space between her and Luca. "What do we have going on here?" Rutger asked them. Luca tried to brush it off, but Rutger saw the entire conversation take place. "Listen, Rut, I was just trying to talk to Ana here," Luca said to him.
"Yeah? You do know Luke is like, in love with Ana right? He's liable to cut your dick off if you go after her. Keep your head on straight, pal." Rutger said to him with a serious tone.
He threw his hands up, half smiling. "Sorry, I didn't know she was off limits. My fucking bad. See you around, Ana." Luca huffed and walked away from Ana and Rutger. He looked at her, concerned.
"Hey, you okay?" he asked her.
Ana nodded in confirmation. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just think it's funny until he waited for Luke to leave me before he made a move. Fucking pussy," she said.
Rutger laughed at her. "Don't worry about Luca, he's fine. I'll stay with you until Luke comes back." Ana grinned at him. "Thanks, Rut."
Several seconds later, Luke appeared again, also feeling handsy, his arm snaking behind Ana's lower back. He dabbed up Rutger, asking "Did I miss anything?"
"Well," Ana started. "Luca came over to me when you left and asked me out. I friendzoned him and Rutger came to my rescue. He didn't bother me though, I'm fine."
"He asked you out? Fucking hell," Luke said. He was so mad at Luca for doing that, the little bitch. His expression was hard, but when his eyes met Ana's, his gaze softened. "Are you sure you're alright?"
"Yes, I'm fine. I promise," she said to him. Luke turned to Rutger, thanking him before he walked away. Luke and Ana went back to dancing some more. They found a steady rhythm, Luke glued to her backside. Ana felt his strong arms wrap around her waist and midsection, and she melted into him. Both of them felt fire coursing through their veins. Luke was enjoying himself as he grinded her ass against him, guiding her hips with his hands.
"Ana Kate, do you see that guy over there with Emma and Jentry? I've never seen him before," Luke said into Ana's ear. He couldn't help himself, inhaling the scent of her perfume on her skin just centimeters from his mouth. He pressed a light kiss behind her ear.
Ana shuddered at his lips against her skin. She tried to focus, looking across the room, spotting Emma and Jentry with a tall, dark haired guy. Ana turned around to face Luke. "I don't know who that is. Maybe we should go check it out."
Luke and Ana left the dance floor, Luke's hand resting on Ana's lower back as he walked with her. Ana approached Jentry and Emma, scanning their faces for signs of an SOS. She looked at the guy talking to them, standing entirely too close to Emma. He was definitely hitting on her.
Luke initiated a conservation with him. "Hey man, I couldn't help but notice you talking to my sister here," he motioned to Emma. "What's your name?"
"Garrett. I was just having a nice little chat with your sister here. She's quite the catch, aren't you darling?" His eyes darkened when he looked back at Emma.
