Summary: After a long and tiredful week, Detdet is grateful to be able to come home to you every night.

Detdet has been exhausted. You can tell by how she just crumbles into your arms the second she arrives and falls asleep. Sometimes, despite being tired, she's forced to juggle her athlete life with her academic life— as her jowa, you've been trying to help her out as much.

Sometimes, when she's asleep with her laptop open— she never questions it. She thinks she finished it all last night. Or sometimes, you finish her essays or help her out with reviewing.

And a few hours ago, Detdet has just wrapped up her final match in S86. Despite their loss against NU, she's been smiling at her team the entire time, encouraging them to "make bawi next time". But you know deep inside she's been tired— super tired.

It's hard leading a team filled with prodigies and exceptional talent. Sometimes you want to text Ate Eya and ask her how she handled such a hyper team. You knew how much Detdet idolized her for being a strong captain.

Detdet intertwines her fingers with yours as you climb the stairs to your dorm. You were carrying all her volleyball equipment despite her protests. (she gave up halfway because she was tired.)

"Det, dahan dahan. Baka matapilok ka." You warned, holding her tightly. She hums, leaning her head on you.

"Bat di pa kasi tayo nag elevator, love? Kainis, sana naging ibon nalang ako eh para lumipad lang ako." Detdet whined, sighing as the two of you climbed the last few steps.

You smiled at her, "Love, sira nga daw yung elevator. Dapat sinabi mo sakin na ayaw mo maghagdan, eh sana binuhat na kita."

Detdet crosses her arms— you were already carrying her bag for her, and now you were offering to carry her? She pouts, "Eh! Buhat buhat mo na nga bag ko tas magpapabuhat pa ako sayo. Kahiya naman."

Shaking your head, you chuckled at her. "Sus, gusto mo naman talaga magpabuhat." Detdet sticks her tongue at you and unlocks the door.

The fresh scent of your dorm entered your nostrils, for the past year you and Detdet have been living here. It's filled with random things like books, shoes, medals, and of course, her gym equipment— but you always liked it. You liked how her stuff brought life to the place, and you would always call it home.

"Ang bangoo, parang ang fresh ngayon ng dorm natin. Kaninang umaga pag-alis ko amoy ko parin yung nasunog na tapsilog ni Belen." Detdet breathes in, smiling at you.

"Aba, syempre nilinis ko pagkatapos mo umalis. Para naman relax nalang tayo buong week."

Detdet gasps, it's been on her calendar to clean the dorm for the past month but somehow— every time she's about to do it, it gets pushed back further by her schedule. "Thank you lovee! Ang tagal ko na tong pinaplano linisin pero mygash! Ang hassle kasi."

You wave it off, "Of course love. Ligo ka na muna. Rewatch natin La La Land?"

"Huey, nakakaiyak yun. Kakatapos ko nga lang umiyak tas papaiyakin mo ulit ako!" You laughed at her, shrugging. "Panoorin na lang natin Four Sisters and a Wedding, pleasee!" Detdet gives her famous pout— the same one that always brings you to your knees.

And as always, it does. You feel yourself weaken for a moment before groaning, "Ang lakas ng tama mo talaga sakin. Sige na nga!"

She lets out a celebratory sound, smirking at you. "Maligo kana nga! Amoy na amoy na kita."

"Wag ka! Mabango ako lagi!"

You two sit down at the couch, both of your hairs are wet since you just showered. Detdet wore your favorite sweatshirt that she stole from your closet. Her head was on your lap as you scrolled on netflix, now and then, she'd steal a glance at your face without you noticing.

When you finally found Four Sisters and a Wedding, she had been comfortably settled into your lap. She was eating the box of chocolates she had received earlier from one of her fans. "Start ko na?" You ask, and she hums.

The two of you sit there in comfortable silence, watching the movie. Detdet keeps her eyes glued on the tv, while yours remains on her relaxed figure. There was a soft smile on her face as she laughed at the jokes, and you would also crack a smile— not because of the jokes, but because of her.

Maybe you were staring too hard, because a few seconds later, she turns to you, looking up with her eyebrows raised. "Hindi ka na nanonood! Kanina ka pa nakatingin sakin." Detdet scolds, pinching you.

"Aray!" You yelp, "Sorry na, ang cute mo kasi manood." She rolls her eyes at you before she smiles once again. "Tingnan mo oh, ang cute kasi ng ngiti mo!"

"Tigilan moko! Nangbobola ka lang 'e!"

You huff, crossing your arms. "Totoo naman, kulet mo taga noh."

Detdet turns back to the TV— but not without dragging you to lay down with her. You groan before she grabs your arms and ties it around her waist. "Manood ka na dyan, pag di ka nanood kukurutin ko talaga ikaw mamaya."

You laugh on her neck, the couch was small so she was a few inches from falling off but you tightened your hold on her, pushing her further into your chest.

You could smell the vanilla shampoo she used— the one you bought for her since she was gushing over it days before her birthday. The scent of your sweatshirt that you washed earlier this morning because you knew she would steal it tonight.

"Psst." You mumble, and Detdet turns to you with a fake annoyed face. Cute mo talaga, kapitana.

"Ano nanaman yan?" She says grumpily and you smile. Your faces inches apart as you stare at her face. She had her glasses on and her hair tied in a ponytail.

There was a few seconds of silence before you spoke again, "Love you. Good Job kaninang hapon, ang galing mo talaga maglaro."

"Hoy, ano ba naman 'to. Random mo talaga, hahatakin kita dyan 'e— charot. I love you too." She rolls her eyes at you.

You laugh, fixing her glasses. You stared at her for a few moments before you leaned in, kissing her softly. She hums, holding your face.

"Lasang ferrero bunganga mo ah." You remark and she hits you annoyingly.

Detdet groans, turning around. "Bwisit ka talaga, hirap makakuha ng sweet moment sayo. Muntik na sana maging cute!" She pushes you further on the couch and you laugh loudly.

"Oo na! Seryoso na, manonood na ako."

And you wrap your arms tightly to her waist, putting your head at the crook of her neck as you watch. A smile on both your faces as you listen to one another's breathing.

Right at that moment, Detdet wished that time would stop. She wants to be forever wrapped in your arms, wearing your sweatshirt with your scent, watching Filipino cinema and laughing at every corny joke. But she can't stop time, so she'll instead appreciate you for her entire life for giving her the comfort and solace she needs.

She's not tired anymore, the stress has finally disappeared. And that was all because she was back into your arms, back in her favorite home.

That night, you two fell asleep on the couch. You woke up to your arm incredibly sore, but you'll always do it over and over again if it meant that Detdet would get the rest she needed.
