Downtown Los Angeles
Benny's POV
I had to sneak away to meet up with my dad to grab the ring. Organizing a private appointment for resizing and additions was a must; couldn't risk the paparazzi spoiling the surprise at the jewelry store.
"I can't believe you're going to tie the knot, kiddo," my dad remarked.
"She hasn't said yes yet," I replied with a grin.
He chuckled, "Yet. She hasn't said yes yet, but you know she will." A warm squeeze on my shoulder accompanied his words.
"Feeling nervous?" he asked me.
"A bit of both. But I'm certain about this. I want to marry her so badly; all she needs to do is say yes, and she can take the lead on when and where we say 'I do,'" I said, smiling.
"You're catching on quick, kiddo," my dad remarked with a laugh, drawing chuckles from store employees.
The manager returned with my receipt. "The ring will be all set for pick up tomorrow, Benny," he announced with a smile. "Great. My old man here will grab it for me. Ariana's already a detective." I joked.
My dad and I left through the back of the store, where the driver was waiting for us. "So, everything's set and planned for tomorrow, right?" my dad asked as he texted my mom. "Yeah, I just need everyone to stick to their roles, and it'll all work out," I said, releasing a nervous breath.
"Alright, you head home to your future wife and spend some time with her. Mom said they'll be there around 9 am to whisk her away, and I'll be there by 10 am to lend a hand," my dad said with a smile.
"Sounds perfect. Thanks, pops, for everything," I told him.
"I'm so proud of you, Benny. You've built such a wonderful life for yourself and blessed me with two beautiful grandbabies. Thank you, kiddo," he said, hugging me tight.
"I love you, pops," I said to him.
"And I love you too, Bens," he said softly before we parted ways.
The driver dropped us off at the house my parents were renting, and I hopped onto my bike, heading home. Pulling into the driveway, I spotted Ariana, her mom, Nonna, and the babies relaxing on the front porch. The little ones were nestled in their outdoor baby bed, and their cheerful sounds filled the air. "Is that Daddy?" Ariana asked them as I approached. Their smiles confirmed it. "Hi, my little troublemakers," I greeted, scooping them up one by one for kisses. Nonna and Joan watched with smiles as I showered the babies with affection.
Walking over to Ariana, I leaned down to kiss her. "Hi, Mommas," I whispered, knowing what that name did to her. She chuckled, "I'm going to get you back, Daddy," she whispered back, teasingly.
Laughing, I straightened up and greeted Nonna with affection. "Hi, beautiful," I said, causing her to chuckle. I hugged her and kissed her cheek. "Hi, baby, how was your day?" she asked, already aware of my whereabouts. I grinned, "It was amazing," giving her a wink.
Turning to Joan, I hugged her too. "Hello, my love," she greeted warmly. "Hey, Mom. How was your day?" I asked her. She smiled, "Oh, you know, just enjoying our day with our babies," she replied with a contented smile.
I settled beside Ariana, who promptly moved onto my lap. Chuckling, I kissed her shoulder, feeling content in the midst of my loved ones.
