Getting The Team Together

Bugs Bunny sits in the captain's chair, wearing a Martian hat, "Captain's log, Captain James T. Bunny. Intergalactic space traveler on a five-year mission. My crew has been scattered to the far, far reaches of the Serververse. Marooned on strange, inhospitable worlds. I've commandeered Marvin's ship in an effort to reassemble the team." Malin sat next to Bugs, giving him an eye roll, "Really, Bugs?" Bugs glances at the female bunny with a smirk, "Yes."

He presses a button on the control panel, and a screen illuminates, revealing a grid of pictures of the Tunes. Malin gently grasps his hand, her fingers intertwining with his, "We'll find them." Bugs rubs his thumb over the knuckles of her hand, his expression filled with determination, "Are you going to tell LeBron who you are?" Malin opens her mouth to respond, but before she can utter a word, LeBron's voice cuts through the tense atmosphere, bringing their conversation to an abrupt halt.

"Yo, Bugs. Check it out. Look what I found."

Bugs moves, trying to cover the pictures, but he accidently sets the alarm off, "Oh, that's not good." Malin pulls the plug out, stopping the ship. LeBron gazes up from the board he found on the ship with confusion.

Bugs pushes the plug back in and the ship continues moving, "Were you saying something?" Bugs acts casual, sitting back in the seat. LeBron turns to them, "Uh, I was just asking you..." Malin frowns at the board, "Hey, what's that for, Doc?"

LeBron turns to the board with a marker in his hand, "Gotta make a list. We're gonna need the most powerful Warner Bros. characters for this team. Now, let's see. Who to get? Hmm. Gotta start with Superman. Man, I could've used him on the Cavs. Ooh. King Kong. He'd be a beast on the boards." He starts writing their names on the board.

Bugs stands up and approaches LeBron James, "Yeah, listen, Doc... Try not to get your hopes up too much. You might not be able to get all those top guys for the team." Malin stands next to the prankster, "This ain't the Miami Heat, you know."

LeBron brushes them off, "We're gonna need a strong power forward. Iron Giant. Put him on the same team as his hero, Superman." Malin grunts and crosses her arms, "I'm just saying it might be good to have a backup plan."

The basketball player turns to her, then notices the Serververse, "Wow. This Serververse is massive. So many different worlds to explore. I wish Dom was here to see this. So, how come you stayed on Tune World?"

Both bunnies sigh. Bugs wraps his arm around Malin's waist as he answers, "Tune World is my home. It's the only place where I can be me. Where I belong." LeBron turns his gaze to Malin, "And you, Malin?" Malin snorts, "Honestly? I am originally from 3D Land."

"3D Land?"

"LeBron James, I'm from your world. I was Michael Jordan's babysitter for his kids." Malin answers, wrapping her arm around Bugs. She gazes up in disbelief to see LeBron no longer listening. He pointed out the window, "Yo! Is that Harry Potter World? Awesome!" Malin grumbles, "Unbelievable." As they pass Harry Potter World, LeBron glances down at his shirt, "Hufflepuff? I knew it!"

"Nerd alert." Bugs whispers in Malin's ear. "Mh-hm." She looks to see she is dressed in Gryffindor. LeBron starts to act all giddy, "Oh, yeah! Metropolis. I can't wait to see what I turn into here. Oh, it's gonna be somebody dope." Malin and Bugs land in the Batmobile, wearing Batman and Batgirl suits; the sirens wailing and engine revving.

LeBron frowns at his suit, "Robin? I'm freaking Robin? And why are we chasing a runaway train?" The horn blares from the train above them. Bugs points to LeBron, "We're in DC World, Doc." Malin snickers, "And where there's trouble, there's superheroes. Whoa!" The Batmobile swerves and the three jump onto the train.

The three crawl to the front of the train and spot Porky and Daffy. "Luckily, Super Duck is here to save the..." Daffy seemed to speak in the camera. Bugs shouts, getting their attention, "Cut!"

"What are you doing here, rabbit?" Daffy grunts. Malin smiles sweetly at them, "Say, we need a couple of guys to win a basketball game." LeBron turns his head to the two, "Hold up, you want these guys?"

"Basketball? Are you kidding me? This stunt here is gonna get me into the Justice League penthouse! With free parking." Daffy retorts before facing the camera again, "And now, the hero, Super Duck, who is me, will pull this brake, and save the day." He grunts, breaking the brakes. Porky swallows with a stutter, "That's all, folks." They notice the Orphanage getting closer and gasp.

"Whoa!" Malin screams. Bugs and LeBron join her in the screaming. Suddenly, there was a muffled crash. Malin gazes up to see the children cheering, "The... The children!" Bugs looks up in shock, "Huh? Uh, we did it?" He glances at Malin, but her attention wasn't on Bugs.

"Oh, no, you don't, rabbit. I did this. It was me. I masterminded this entire operation. It was me!" Daffy shouts, but then his eyes widened as Superman floats up with a sneer. Malin pulled her ears back as Daffy points at Porky, "It was him. It was definitely the pig."

"Yeah, what?" Porky turns to Daffy in confusion. LeBron nervously chuckles, "Any of you play any basketball?" A heavy thud of the Justice League appear behind Superman, grim faces. Superman glances at Malin, "Hello, Malin." Malin slowly waves at the superhero, "Hi." She squeaked.

"You know, on second thought, I love basketball! Dibs on coach." Daffy spoke, grabbing Porky. The Tunes and James ran towards the spaceship and scurried inside. Bugs glances at Malin, "How does Superman know you?" Malin snorts, "Um, I guess because I ran into him when we did that basketball game with Michael twenty years ago."

LeBron James claps his hands together, "All right, we're off to a..." He clears his throat, "decent start. But now we gotta crew up, build our elite squad so I can get my son back. And that's exactly what we'll do. It's draft day."
