Chapter 9

-3rd POV-

Once upon a dreary eve...at midnight when all hopes and dreams had been lost...

I who had been possessed by an apparition, spied a stately raven happen by overhead...

And with dreaming eyes quoth the raven...

"That which is lost shall never return."

"Never more."

"—ster."

Ciel slowly woke up.

"—Young master."

He could see two smiling shadow beings, which made him flinch, reach under his pillow and instantly grabbed the gun, pointing it at Sebastian.

(Y/n) woke up in an instant, since Ciel could no longer sleep without his "mother", so the fae decided to sleep in the earl's room to bring him comfort. Though, now she slowly reached out, "Little dragon..."

He panted as he kept looking at his butler, "Do not—" He shook, "touch me—!"

Sebastian was silent, before grinning.

The fae gently put her hand on his hair, running her hand through it, making him slowly relax. She hummed, which was enough to soothe him.

He on the other hand, went to the cart which had tea, "For today's morning tea, I have prepared Assam wifh plenty of milk." He said, pouring the tea into a teacup, "The milk will serve to relax you. It will calm you down."

Ciel watched him, eyes shaking as he gripped the fae's shirt.

"Especially...after a bad dream..." He smiled, handing him the tea.

He sighed, letting go of his "mother" and grabbing the tea.

The butler made another for (Y/n), who smiled and instantly sipped some. He then noted a book, "Heh. It is all because you read Poe before going to bed."

"I do as I please. What of the day's schedule?" The earl questioned, sipping his tea.

"Today you must review the documents sent from headquarters. And in the afternoon, the Marchioness of Midford and lady Elizabeth will be visiting."

"Damn!"

"And young master's—"

He instantly climbed down the bed, and gave the cup to the butler, "Begin preparations right away!" He demanded, unbuttoning his shirt.

Sebastian was confused, "You do not need to hurry so. The Marchioness will be here this afternoon—"

"Fool! We're talking about Aunt Francis here!"

(Y/n) tilted her head, before smiling, 'I get to meet more family members, how nice.' She thought, before getting up and going to the cart to set the teacup down, "Well, I will step outside for you to get ready for the day." She said, gently running her hand through his hair then heading out. Snapping her fingers to put on her Diasomnia uniform, which had been fixed by the butler.

"Aaah, I'm so glad mister Sebastian, the young master and lady Draconia are back! ♡" Finny happily walked, a scarf around his neck, "Finished weeding, yay!"

If they hadn't...

"I wonder what would've happened to us if they hadn't..." He muttered, thinking of a burned manor and them outside. He then noted something, "Ah! The Christmas roses are blooming!" He got closer to the bush, "Soon it'll be Christmas, huuuh?! A feast..." He muttered the last part, drooling, before he realized something, "Ah!"
