-3rd POV-

End of the nineteenth century—As the social season was coming to a close...

...There occurred a serial murder case that shook Great Britain to it's core.

The victims were all prostitutes. Every one of them was discovered chopped into pieces, their wombs stolen right out of their bodies.

Because of the hideous state in which the victims were found, the killer became known as—

"Jack the Ripper."

Ciel shivered as he and the other two stood by him around the corner of a building, "It's cold..." He muttered.

"Though your usual garb would have stood out in the east end...You must be feeling chill in those clothes?" Sebastian said, as he started to unbutton his coat, "It looks like it might rain as well."

He held a hand up to stop the butler, "Wearing that will make me stand out just as much, so I'll pass." He muttered.

(Y/n) smiled as she walked over to the earl, "If I may..." She put a hand up and a green flame appeared, which radiated warmth.

The teen put his hands up and felt the warmth, which made him sigh in relief, "Thank you, (Y/n)..."

She pat his head with her other hand, "Anytime." She said.

He looked at his butler, who seemed to watch the fae, "You're certain he'll make an appearance if we keep watch here, right?"

Sebastian blinked and looked at him, "Yes. That is the only entrance, and...this the only path that leads to it."

Ciel looked around the corner, "And you're positive the next target will be Mary Kelly, who lives in that tenement?"

"Yes. I believe I have told you as much numerous times? Though the three of us lying in wait here makes us stick out like sore thumbs..." He muttered the last sentence.

"Quite...In addition to the murdered prostitutes "lacking internal organs"...There is still another "commonality." But...what makes them a necessity for the bastard? Moreover, I..." He looked over and saw his butler holding a cat, "...Hey, are you listening to a word I'm saying, Sebastian?!"

"Ah, excuse me. I could not resist." The butler said, " As she is a rare beauty, I..."

The cat meowed.

(Y/n) smiled as she put her hand down, seeing as the earl looked warm enough. But if he needed, she would give him her Diasomnia coat without any question. After all, he became her young. Her young that she would protect with her life.

"We're not keeping it! So put it back!" Ciel exclaimed.

"Very well." Sebastian looked sad at the idea of putting the cat back, but did so reluctantly, "But she is so lovely..." He said, putting the feline down so it can roam again.

He let out a sigh.

—So it was impossible for a person who was there?

-Small Flashback-

"—Yes. It was impossible for a human being."

"Now I understand...you bastard..." Ciel said, looking at the male.

"I have spoken the truth many times from the very beginning. Likewise, I have not remotely lied with respect to the results of our inquiry." Sebastian smirked, stepping on a piece of paper, ""Someone well-versed in medical science and anatomy." "Someone involved with 'a secret society' or 'a cult of black magic.'" And "someone with no alibi on the nights of the murders." The only human being who fulfills these conditions is the Viscount of Druitt."
