Oh also just realized it's canon Penelope broke her leg trying to scale the wall after following some truant knights before??
Lmaooo I love her so much. It never specified where she did that so this chapter is practically the aftermath and [name] being worried as fuck

Your day wasn't going so great. First you were just patiently waiting for the 5+ intel you were promised only for it to show the words 'Leila'..

"WHAT THE FUCK??"

To say you were upset was an understatement. You wasted your precious time when you could've been hanging out with Penelope just to go to that stupid festival with Reynold and Derrick only for it to give you "Leila" as intel? Not even fucking intel at that point it's like some petty rage quit puzzle!! What does it even mean?? Leila? Huh??  That's more like +1 intel than five. Couldn't have it at least told you what it meant?

The blue system refused and just disappeared. Useless thing..oh and that wasn't even the worst fucking part. While wandering the hallways you overheard the servants talking about a doctor being called cause Penelope tried to climb the wall or something!!

Seriously Penelope??
You didn't remember this at all since you were more worried on other ways Penelope died..but break her leg? What if something more fatal happened!

Right after hearing that you ran to Penelope's room but had to wait outside as she was getting treated by a doctor..where's your father anyways?? Shouldn't he also be here to check on her?? You aren't particularly surprised about Reynold and Derrick though..

when the doctor left the room you immediately went inside the room obviously concerned about Penelope as you see her sitting on the bed glaring at nothing as her leg was wrapped in bandages,

you went closer and she seems to finally notice your presence as her eyes softened slightly and her glare disappeared. Sure it was cute but you were worried and also upset! Why would she do something so reckless?? You didn't hear why she did it either.

"Sister! Why on earth would you do something like that?? I almost got a heart attack!!"

You whined shaking her shoulders but of course making sure it wouldn't hurt her in any way, she mumbled an apology but it was good enough for you anyways. Right after your little whining comment you started asking questions on if she needed anything or if she was okay.

She said she was fine but you stayed to keep her company anyways..something that pissed you off was that your father nor your brothers came to check on her..
maybe they did before you got here but you're not really sure yet and you don't wanna ruin the mood by asking Penelope incase they didn't.

You remember how this happened in all your other lives too but you don't remember them good enough just all you know is that Penelope is was careless enough to do this in every life.
Kinda like a game simulator where the character does the same thing in every life but when their older that's when things they do start being different

Oh speaking of the Leila thing would Penelope know something about it? Maybe she was a friend of Penelope's before she came to the eckart manor.

"Sister. Do you know anyone by the name of Leila?"

You ask smiling not wanting your request to look weird or anything and just like a harmless question, she looked at you confused before shaking her head no

"no I don't. Why do you ask?"

You would never expect this girl to be the same one who just screamed at a servant and tipped over the table cause of something you don't remember.

You can never blame her for it though. Penelope was never taught how to behave and even when she yelled nobody ever listened to her, she was never taught the proper way and was labeled the mad dog of eckart in the future..

Except for you.
She never yelled when with you because she didn't feel the need to.
When Penelope met you she just assumed you would turn out like the others, but you didn't.

When she asked you something or wanted something she didn't have to yell or beg for it. She just had to ask and you would comply. Not once did she ever think she would feel this type of happiness with someone.

She never had a sister..so it felt nice. She really hopes you both will be together forever.

"..sister? Hello?"

While you were in a daze thinking about how Penelope was treated and never taught properly, you silently made a promise again that this time you'll teach her like how your father was meant to but never did. Guess you zoned out and when you noticed Penelope looking at you confused as you weren't responding you just blinked before panicking slightly and saying

"Oh sorry! I was zoned out a bit. You asked why all of a sudden I asked you that right?"

You say trying to get those thoughts out of your head as you smile trying to find an excuse and saying

"She's a character in a book I recently started reading! When I asked you that I meant if you know about the book. Forget it though."

She didn't pry and just nodded and moved onto another subject which you were thankful for..oh wait speaking of that. Maybe this Leila person can be studied through books? You can try to look through books and figure out who she is!! It's like it's on the slip of your tongue but you seriously can't remember her..

You and Penelope ate food together before she fell asleep, maybe she was exhausted after a long day? You didn't know but at least you can go look if you can find why books about it. You were planning on doing it tomorrow so you didn't ditch Penelope but since she's asleep now you might as well.

Only to find absolutely nothing. Who the fuck was this Leila person?? You had no idea and couldn't find a single book about it!! So this was a fail. Since your father was the duke maybe he knows something about it?

Maybe you'll ask him. And if he doesn't know you can also ask Derrick or get some of the servants to try to find any information about somebody named Leila.

Okay so I lied.
I know I said I would make this a full Penelope fluff chapter but I don't think I'm physically able to after reading an angst book which is my bad. 😞

So I do post once a day now and stuff for this book but if I feel like it I'll make another chapter of Penelope fluff the only reason I couldn't in this one is cause of the angst book and the whole intel quest shit I forgot about.

Anyways sorry for small chapter I'll post another one later lmao
