The Next Day

Bell awoke to see Cat sleeping peacefully on his chest and smiled.
If she wasn't being hunted, they could have a life here. He brushed her hair and attempted to get up. She woke up raising her head directly in his face.
"Good morning"
He told her.
Sighing in relief she pressed her lips against his as he held her cheek.
"Good morning"
She replied sitting directly on his crotch.
"Do you know where the cartel are?"
She asked.
"They have a village plantation towards the mountains. We can go there and be there by night. We might have to camp there. They don't take too kindly to strangers"
"That's where you come in but I want you to teach me how to fight"
"My pleasure to do so"
He said.
He attempted to get up but she held him down. She pressed both lips against his as she stared him down.
"I need a shower and I can't reach my back side"
"Also my pleasure"
He smirked.

He made love to her furiously in the shower as she wrapped her arms around him and wrapped her leg around his back. She moaned into his ear as he pinned her across the shower wall. She giggled as he bit her neck with deep affection as she clung to him reaching her climax. She panted hard and moaned loudly as he brushed her hair. "Had enough?"
He asked with a smirk on his face.
"Not even close"
She said kissing him deeply.

After that interaction, they left the hotel. He had a car and plenty of supplies. "You have a lot of equipment"
"Doesn't hurt to come better prepared these days"
He told her.
She got in the passenger seat and he the drive seat.
"Shall we take a drive"
"Why most certainly"
She replied.
They drove off to the mountain. During the day time the citizens of Panama were active. They drove towards the Apartments where Cat was originally staying. She only had a spare set of clothes and her work bag. She had a satellite phone that she could use but she avoided the risk.
There were several checkpoints throughout town due to the fact that someone burned the apartments.
For Bell, no one knew who he was but that was no matter for him.
Whoever was looking for Cat wanted her dead.
"Once we get to the checkpoint you'll have to play the role. We're just going camping in the mountains for a few days as a married couple"
"Technically we are a couple"
She said putting on a hat and sunglasses.
"And don't speak too much English. This city has it out for Americans"
"I can speak Spanish you know"
"Show me"
"Me jodiste tan bien anoche"
She spoke clear spanish that made Bell smirk.
"De nada"
He replied.
She giggled.
They were arriving at the checkpoint.
"You shall play the role of Cassie Anderson and I Hank Aaron Davis. Explorer of wildlife"
Cat giggled as they drove up to the checkpoint.
"What is your business in Panama?!"
The guard asked.
"Camping in the mountains for the night. This is my wife Cassie"
Cat poked her head out with a dashing smile and waved.
"Hola"
She said as the other guard looked her over.
"How long will you be venturing?"
"A day at the latest. Will this way be closed off?"
Bell asked.
"You might have to take the back roads. The streets are crowded with people today after the Panola apartments were set on fire"
"Was anyone hurt?"
Bell asked.
"No reported casualties. Only thing is that it was an American and that they are not welcome here due to the new Government. Be careful going into the mountains. The Cartel are wild savages I hear"
"De nada"
Bell said with a smile as Cat waved.
"Let them through"
The guard shouted.
Bell drove the truck forward getting across.
"New government?"
Cat asked.
"Americans are not welcomed here. Sure they're not talking about you?"
He asked.
"I'm not a soldier. I haven't done anything wrong"
"The new government here will not see it that way and if I remember my history with Governments. It could only mean one thing. War"
He told her.
"Here in Panama"
"The Government here has ties with the Cartel and the Americans will do anything to stop the uprisings from spreading. The Cold War isn't over"
"I thought you ended it"
"That was with the Russians. The flags may be different but the methods are nonetheless the same. You still have that gun with you?"
She held up her work bag and had it.
"Look in the side door"
She said a hidden compartment and opened it revealing another gun.
"Look here"
He pointed in between the seats.
She saw a flare gun and a small boom stick.
"Anymore weapons I should be aware of"
"In the back in those boxes"
"Thought that was Camping Equipment"
"Ohh it is. When I left Verdansk. I took this truck that has an arsenal of weapons in. Weapons you never seen before. That's not the only thing you have to see"
She faced him.
"What?"
She asked.
"I will show you once we arrive at the mountain"
He told her.
"I need your word that you won't say a word to Umbrella about me"
"Why not?"
She asked confused.
"You said you're a researcher in Genetics?"
"Yes"
"What I'll show you is something I had when I set Verdansk ablaze. I didn't understand it at first but I do now. It's imperative that it stays between you and me. I don't wish to become a guinea pig"
He still had his lightsaber. That was in his jacket.
Cat frowned.
"Bell I slept with you last night and this morning. I won't betray you"
"I believe you"
He told her.
"Do you trust me?"
"I do. We're just heading into dangerous territory and I want you to be safe when shit gets bad"
He told her.
"So you'll teach me how to fight"
Cat said with a smile. "Yes I will"
He replied.
