"that's pretty!" angela said over jessica's shoulder, and i couldn't help but agree. we were looking at her phone, which had some pictures of dresses for prom coming up soon. well, it was actually in march, but it was still fast approaching. i don't typically like these kinds of events, and jessica and angela are well aware of this, but that doesn't stop them from trying to convince me to go.
mike and tyler were off to the side talking to eric, when tyler threw a twizzler at bella, who was hanging at her own car with her earbuds in. i looked up, seeing bella distracted by the cullens pulling into the parking lot, and was then startled by the red licorice being thrown at her. i smacked the side of tyler's arm, giving him a look which he shrugged to before looking at bella. she shuffled on the spot, showing her book, and turning away.
i looked to see the family crossing the parking lot, and furrowed my eyebrows some when i noticed the lack of edward with his siblings but was pulled out of the thought as my phone buzzed in my pocket.
i pulled it out, opening the message that was from leah. i smiled some.
leah c. ;p
hey.
wanna hang out after school?
cherie c. :v
and do what?leah c. ;p
idk, watch a movie?
jacob rented saw. he says
it's goodcherie c. :v
saw? never heard of it.
count me in :)"who's leah?" i heard angela ask, which immediately made me hide my phone to my chest. this got her to smile to me, as the bell rang the start of school hours.
"a friend of mine from the reservation." i say, blushing slightly to being caught texting her. it was just a shocker. sure, we talked yesterday, but since the whole thing with sam and emily she never really initiated any conversation with me. i pushed my phone back into my pocket, and we walked into school. we usually walk with jessica, but she's too busy being all over mike for us to wait.
angela hummed, smiling some as we headed to class. "and alice knows about her?"
"what does alice have to do with this?" i furrowed my eyebrows. i know why she's mentioning alice, but i don't understand why alice would need to know about leah. she doesn't need to know all the people i'm friends with, i like having some things to myself. in this instance, leah.
"just in case, she was already staring daggers at bella while you were texting, don't want her to scare off another girl friend." angela revealed, and walked into class with me following.
"really?" i was put off by this, alice staring at bella? first edward basically ran out biology yesterday, and now alice is paying attention to bella. "i guess they have a thing for new girls." i mumbled as a joke, and angela jokingly agreed as we sat down.
___
"have you seen edward?" that was the first thing bella asked me as we sat down for lunch. i shook my head to her question as we sat down, and her gaze immediately went to the cullen's table.
