it was a rare sunny day in forks, and right now it was currently lunch time. instead of sitting in the cafeteria, we were graced with the opportunity to bathe in the rare case of vitamin d.
jessica was sunbathing on top of the picnic table that was placed outside. angela was nowhere to be seen and mike and tyler were currently playing hacky sack with some of the others. i was also enjoying the sunlight, my skin missing the rays of sunlight i was used to back in new mexico. ever since being here, i have paled quite a bit, so i'm taking any opportunity to be under the sun while it shined past the clouds. i leaned against the table next to jessica, bella sitting across from us.
and bella, she was sitting next to me, looking around for a certain someone. i noticed, as well as jessica.
"he's not here." jessica says, breaking the silence between us three. this catches bella's attention, who looks to jessica atop the table. "whenever the weather's nice, the cullens disappear."
"what, do they ditch?" bella asked curiously.
"dr. and mrs. cullen pull them out for like, hiking and camping." i explained to her. "i can see why, with the weather like this. it's gorgeous." i sighed contently, leaning back some to continue my sunbathing.
"right? i tried that on my parents. not even close." jessica chimed in again, and i chuckled to her words.
"guys!" angela came up to us at speedwalking pace, immediately sitting next to bella. "i'm going to the prom with eric. i just asked him, i took control!" she reveals to us.
"i told you that would happen." bella says as they both shared a hug.
when the short hug was broke, angela spoke again. "are you sure you have to go out of town?" she asked bella. i remember, a few days ago she told us she would be out of town for prom weekend, out to jacksonville i think.
"oh yeah, it's a little family thing." bella was vague, green apple in hand.
"okay, we should go shopping in port angelas before all the good dresses get cleaned out." jessica suggested, a girls night into the local town. the bell rang, dismissing us from lunch.
'until next time, oh glorious sunlight.' i thought with a sigh as i grabbed my things while standing up.
"port angelas? you mind if i come?" bella suddenly asked, and they both looked at her as if she was silly for asking.
"yeah, i need your opinion." angela said to her, jessica breaking away from the group as the three of us walked to biology. "are you coming too?" angela then turned to me as we walked inside, and i shrugged.
"i guess i can come." i sighed sarcastically, and angela bumped her shoulder into mine which made me tumble forward some. we laughed a bit, slipping inside with bella after us.
___
"i like this one." jessica said, showing off a spaghetti strapped pink dress to us. angela agreed, and i sat next to the window with bella.
angela showed off her own dress she was interested in, and jessica agreed with it too, pointing out the beading so she wouldn't need much jewelry to go with it.
