ALICE CENTERED
(a/n: may be ooc, sorry!)
"are you really going to give her our address?" i heard rosalie ask with an attitude from the drivers side. she was currently taking us to school. usually, it wouldn't be so exciting, but today was the mandatory field trip for the biology classes, and i would be seeing cherie today."of course, i am. i don't exactly seeing myself giving her the gift in school. she wouldn't react the way i can see her reacting." i explained, which only made her scoff.
"of course you would." she grumbles, pulling into the parking lot of the school and climbing out of the car with the close of her door.
i got out as well, leaving my things behind except for a small heart cutout in my hand. folding it neatly in half, i placed it in my pocket. i joined up with edward and jasper, and i can already see edward's mind was too occupied with bella's conversation with mike. 'i don't need mind reading to know he's very into her.'
hearing bits of their conversation without meaning to, it seemed like mike was trying to ask bella out to prom. though, from how bella was looking past him and at edward, i can already tell she'll reject him. i've already seen it happen, and edward was not pleased with hearing about it the first time.
another conversation got my attention, and i looked over to see cherie with her two friends jessica and angela. hearing them clearly, i listened to them both joke about her age, which was funny, considering my own.
i made brief eye contact with cherie, a smile still on my lips to her brown eyes meeting my own golden ones. 'if only you knew how much you mean to me.'
i continue to observe as they spied on bella and mike, who was just rejected, and couldn't help the giggle to them immediately looking away when the two looked their way. one of the students made their way to jasper and i, and i handed them our permission slips for the field trip with a smile.
the teacher then began ushering us to the buses. i watched cherie go to the first bus, and i wanted to "accidentally" go on the bus but decided against it. walking onto the bus, i made my way to the back and took one of the last seats, edward sitting across and jasper next to him.
the bus began to move, and i can already see edward and jasper looking at me.
"you're really going to do it?" edward asked me, and he didn't have to clarify what he meant for me to know.
"yup." i nod my head, smiling to my adopted brother. jasper next to him can sense edward's uneasiness, but my excitement as well.
"it's not a good idea." i gave a giggle to his words, but it only masked what i was really feeling, annoyance.
"you should listen to your own advice then, you're more at risk than i am." i tell him with a smile.
"it's different. you know it." he tried countering, and my eyebrow twitched in irritation.
"you're right, it is different. i don't want to drink her blood as badly as you want bella's blood." i say to him, and our argument was about to continue, when a calming sensation washed over me, and from the looks of it, edward too.
"thank you." edward says to jasper, and he only nods in acknowledgement.
the rest of the bus ride consisted of no more conversations, i was distracted by how i'll give cherie the note. i couldn't fight the smile on my lips just from thinking of her. i have been waiting for her since we moved back to forks a couple of years ago, and now that she's here, within arm's reach, i just want to hold her.
