I was glad to see Braxton but I couldn't keep my eyes of Nina

She looked beautiful 

I missed the turn into the ice cream parlor like twice

Once we got there she grabbed Braxton out the back seat grabbed her purse and followed after me

So what do you want I asked her 

"What are you getting" she asked me 

Probably Rocky Road 

*I was gonna say mint chocolate chip ice cream bc I like that ice cream but ik some of y'all would judge me*

"Okay I'll get the same and Braxton and I can share," she said 

Alright I told the guy what we wanted and as he scooped the ice cream to put it in the cones 

She reached in her purse trying grabbing her card

I stopped her I got this girl

"Can I at least pay you back" she asked

No its alright 

"Are you sure I can cash app you" she said 

Nina just chill I got this

"Alright" she said putting her card back in her purse

I gave the dude my card while she grabbed our ice cream cones and found a place to sit

I grabbed some spoons and napkins

And sat down I started on my ice cream and Nina started feeding Braxton his ice cream with a spoon he was laughing and giggling the whole time 

So uh you never told me what you do for work

"Oh I'm a realtor," she said 

Mhmm how has business been

"Well, a lot of families are buying houses out here now because of all the new schools being built so business has been great so far." she said

Sounds nice.

"Yeah so what about you" she asked 

What about me I laughed 

Girl you already know I'm a behavioral therapist and psychologist

"True" she said

"Well I mean what got you into wanting to pursue this career" she asked

No one actually asked me, but where I grew up kids who had such a diagnosis as Braxton who attended my school had no programs in place to support them throughout school

 It sucks to see a kid struggle when you know there is someone out there that can help if that makes sense.

"Aww Chris that's so sweet," she said

Thank you I said while smiling

I went back to my ice cream

Aye I think our little soilder is ready for bed I laughed as I pointed at Braxton who could barely keep his eyes open 

Nina laughed 

"Yeah um I'm ready to go if you are"

Alright lemme just throw our trash away I grabbed our ice cream cones and went up to throw them away

As I walked to the trash can and threw our cones away I felt someone tap my shoulder

I turned around and of all the ppl it could've been it was the dark-skinned girl from the store who was feeling on me the other day.

Oh why now

I dragged my hand over my face

"I'm off work now so how about you finally slide me that number" she said as she grabbed my collar pulling me closer to her 

Her friends started giggling 

I told you I wasn't interested can you just leave me alone

"Right after you give me number," she said while she dragged her hands down from my color down to my chest

I tried to move her hands but she they had a strong grip on my shirt

Fine I'll give you my damn number will that make you leave me alone 

"Whatever you want Daddy" she said

I rolled my eyes and pulled out my phone

"Hey Chris I got Braxton in the ca-" she stopped once she saw what was going on 

"I'm sorry girl but I was first in line." the darkskin girl said to Nina

I quickly handed the girl back her phone

She kissed me on the cheek and walked off with her friends

"Call me later Chris" she said as she walked away from us

I wiped her lipgloss off my cheek and turn around and was met with Nina with a really sad face

People can be so weird nowadays right I said smiling trying to lighten the mood

"Chris can you just take me home please," she said slightly above a whisper

She honestly sounded like she wanted to cry

I nodded I offered to open the door for her but she declined

"I got it" she said

I walked around to my side opened the door and started up the car 

As I drove back to her house she continued to stare out the window facing away from me

I heard slight sniffles

I don't why Nina would be upset at me

It's not like were dating or anything

 I don't  even know that girl like that let alone wanted to see her again

She literally has no clue what personal space is 

I pulled up to her house and I offered to help her with the booster seat but she denied yet again. 

She took Braxton in the house to change him and tuck him in 

I waited in my car just thinking what she could be mad at me for

She came back to grab her purse and her roses she grabbed them and was about to walk back inside but I got out the car and called her name hoping she would respond

Nina 

She stopped walking while she still had her back turned to me

"I'm fine Chris" she said while sniffling 

"You can leave now I just want to be alone" she said wiping a tear away

I walked behind her grabbed her hips and slowly started kissing on her neck

She turned around and looked at me with red eyes 

A tear rolled down her face 

I wiped it away with my thumb and pulled her by her waist closer to me and I kissed her

She was shocked at first but she moved closer to me wrapped one of her hands around my neck and craddled the back of head in her other hand and I she kissed me back

She pulled back and smiled 

I pecked her lips a few more times

I walked back to my car waved bye I made sure she got back in the house.
